Tell Us a Little about Yourself

Now that T-Mag has been flooded with all sorts of new people, I think it is time for a new thread of introductions. I’ll go first. I’m from Louisiana. I attend LSU where I am double majoring in biochemistry and nutrition. My main lifting interests are in the area of powerlifting although I like to look good naked. Therefore, I’m in the middle of a cutting phase, but also trying to gain some strength in the Big 3. I am 20, male, single and on the prowl. Anyways just thought this would get things started. O, and I am currently reading The Davinci Code. I agree with Shugs, it is a great book. hahaha i guess this almost sounds like a personal ad…anyways lets gte to know our brethren.

Well as the name indicates, I am a mountain of a man, standing at a mindboggling 5’6" in my socks and I weigh 170lbs.
I studied classical animation for three years but a broken wrist stopped that from panning out. So now I just work various jobs until school is payed off and I can become a debt free world wanderer.

I lift for myself and for the women who will enter my life, they deserve the best looking Dave they can get.
So basically I want to look good naked, but I also want to be one strong little guy.

oh, and I like long walks on the beach and sharing sexual fantasies over tequila

-Dave

I am a 48 year old female. I have been lifting for about 20 years off and on (I was in school for nine years). I have a B.S. in the Natural Sciences and an M.S. in Biology. I work as a regulator for a state agency. I am 5’6" and weigh about 142 nekid. I too like to work on the big three but am trying to maintain a svelte figure at the same time, so I use a modified program. I am one of those long and lean types so I have a really hard time putting on significant amounts of muscle. But as I get older it is getting easier to pack the fat on my ass! I have been married for 20 years. My husband and I collect and ride vintage motorcycles. My favorite is my 1940 Indian Sport Scout. I also am a gardening addict and have domestic ducks and geese for pets.

I had this same thought of doing this. Anyway, I’m 31 yrs old, 6’1", 180lbs nekid. I’m an ectomorph with hyperactivity disorders! Ha. I have a beautiful wife of almost 6 years, 4.5 yr old son, 2.5 year old son, and another boy due July 23(33 days to go). They too have the hyperactivity disorder it seems! Lots of testosterone around our house. I work for the largest chemical company in the world and have an Associates Degree in Industrial Electricity and another Associates Degree in Instrumentation Technology. I’ve been working out on and off for 7 years now. My hobbies include working out and my family. This is a great site full of all the information you could ever need.

I’m a 21 year old Californian named Ryan. I’m about half way through earning my degree in mechanical engineering. I’d like to get into the automotive industry. I’d love to eventually become part of a production team for the Corvette or some exciting domestic car.

I’ve been lifting on and off for about 4 years, the last year being the only one with any knowledge about lifting (thanks T-mag).

I have two reasons for lifting. 1) Improve my chances of achieving my main goal in life; playing professional baseball.
2) Staying healthy and beating my family’s horrible tendency to become all too familiar with heart disease.

Good thinkin Popasquat! I’m 23 years old, 6 ft, 215 pounds. I’m originally from Colorado, but I happen to be in Panama city, FL stationed at lovely Tyndall AFB. I’m a firefighter for the US Air Force, and I’ve been all over the world, and am leaving for a four year tour in Germany in march, thank god. I don’t really lift for any specific reason other than being damn strong and looking alright. I’m too damn pasty white to look that good naked, so I can’t really say I do it for that. Other than that I’m just rollin along through life.

Let’s see… My name’s John, I’m 18 years old. I am just about 5’10" and aroun 168 lbs on a good day. I recently graduated high school on June 3rd and plan on attending SRJC in California in the fall. I played football all 4 years in H.S. as a wide receiver/cornerback and ran track (100m,200m,400m,4x100m,4x400m) for 3 years, but was unable to run this season due to a herniated disc, leading to my surgery(microdiscectomy) on April 1st. Im currently in the process of physical therapy, doc says I’m comin along good and progressing fast! I hope to continue playing football in the future when all is 100% and I am cleared to go. I love to train for sports, I read up on this kinda stuff every day on all types of different sites. I hope to be involved with the training industry in the future, like a strength and conditioning coach, speed trainer, or somethin that has to do with training people for athletic ability! That’s the breif sum up on me haha.

I’m 27, 170cm, 88kg (sorry I can only do metric:) and live in Australia. Married to a Finnish T-Vixen. I’ve been lurking here for a couple of years now, and have finally started poking my head out of my shell. I’ve been lifting for the last 6 years, and I’ve made a serious effort to drop some fat in the last 3 months (gone from 102kg/34%fat to 88kg/24% in 3 months). I work for a large legal publishing company as a programmer. I’d really like to get more into olympic lifts, but I haven’t been able to find any coaches down here, and am hesitant to do too much on my own (I don’t want to get into bad habits)

My name is Luca. I am Italian, 45 years old, married with Stefania, one daughter Lucia 2 years old. I’ve got a degree in Chemistry and work in R&D as Rubber technologist. I’m 5’8", 190 lbs.
Concerning sports when I was single I enjoyed kayak. I love skiing. I first hit a gym at 33, at the same time I began kayaking. I was more dedicated to weight training in the last 7 years.

Everything you need to know is in my picture to the left of this message.

My name is Rich. I’m 6’1" and 202 lbs. I’ve only been training, seriously, for 2 years. Although I did lift back in the college days. I am a sales manager for a worldwide industrial supply company. When I’m not at work or in the gym, I’m am a beach bum. I live 2 blocks from some of the most beautiful beach on the east coast. This makes for some great early mornng runs followed by a nice swim.

My name is Igor, and I’m an almost (b-day in 8 days) 17 year old high school student. I train for martial arts. I got my black belt in Kempo about 2.5 years ago, and will be going for a black belt in a Filipino style called Sikaran (very similar to Tae Kwon Do) pretty soon. I’ve just started competing very recently, and after gaining some experience, hope to be provincial champion before the end of high school (not unrealistic).
As far as education goes, I’m still having a hard time deciding what to study after high school. My parents are suggesting computer science, but personally, I don’t know what I want, so unless I figure that out in the next few months, I’ll have to go with computer science.

Hello everyone,

I’m from Montreal Canada and I’m 24 and 5’6" at 152lbs and about 14% bf (was 168lbs adn 18.9%) and going down !! Thanks to CT’s Mutation Serie !!

I’ve been training for about 3+ years now and I work at a big brokerage firm as a programmer analyst. I have a BSc. in computer science from McGill University, I then realised I wasn’t the research type, so I stopped there and got hire full time (I was a consultant there before I was in college)

Like many pple I’ve started training after a big breakup… now I’m living with my new vixen and I’m pushing harder than ever in the gym hoping to blast those plateaus into oblivion. I’m extremely rigourous when it comes to eating right and I’m sure I owe a good part of my results to it… I’ve got IBS so I’m kinda “forced” to watch what I eat anyway…

Anyone else got that condition here ? I figure it would also be nice to know how and why pple went into weightlifting ?

Great idea for a thread! I am a 28 year old guywh just came back to lifting last Feb. after 2 and a half years off to begin a career. That career sat me in front of a computer doing visual effects for TV and Movies, eating junk food and balloning up to 260 lbs.(I am 6’3). That scared me so I am now around 226, 15% BF (give or take) and about 195 LBM. I am also happy to say I am now the strongest I have ever been. Found T-Mag in late April and it has really opened my eyes about working out, diet and even how I live my life.
My current goal is to get to 9-11% BF and then pack on some meat till I pass the 200 LBM mark. I will call that a foundation and try and grow from there.

It looks like I should add a little more. My name is Neil. I am 6’2" at about 257 around 20%. I know we can get atleast 100 introductions!!! Stop holding back people!!

Hello Hello Hello

I am 31 yr old Dad of two very active girls 3 and 1. I have been lifting off and on since I was 12 years old. I am a towering 5’7" and at present weigh 216 lbs( I was at 240 3 months ago), I am most likely around 20% bodyfat (not sure), I have just recently got back into lifting after taking a 5 yr hiatus, starting a career, family, blah, blah, blah…
I have been lurking here off and on since the begining. I have proudly served in the US Army Infantry.
My immediate goal is to return to my prefamily form of 205 lbs/ 8% bf.

Until Next Time…

HyperX

I like Pina Coladas and walking in the rain…

Oops. That’s something else. I’m 45, 6’1" 200+/- a few lb. Married for 22 years, 2 kids, son, 19, in the Navy, daughter,21, applying to med. school soon.

Been training mostly on and sometimes off since I was 17. Never intended to get huge and so I didn’t. I like to ski fast, ride fast horses where I can and sure footed ones in the mountains, and hunt big game. I also like to drink beer, laugh, tell stories, laugh, and listen to stories…and laugh. In the past I’ve done a lot of hiking but now that I have horses to keep in shape I don’t do that so much. I used to do a lot of scuba diving but only some many expensive hobbies at a time are possible.

I have job but I don’t consider it a career, just a way to fund my life.

It is I! Yami Mao! Master of Darkness, Lord of Chaos! (manical laughter)

I am 18, and I began lifting at the age of 10. I began a skinny whimp, now I am a powerful 5’5" 240 lb man with bad B.O. and facial hair. I can bench 350 and squat 500. I began lifting BECAUSE. . . i don’t know, i just did. In my spare time I enjoy listening to Hadyn, Modest Mussorgsky, and the Bloodhound Gang. I aspire to be a video game programmer, and my intrests vary from Sumo and other martial arts, to nootropics, to sadomasichism (ladies?). Now my weaknesses! small forearms, auspergers syndrome, and a deadly love of cheesecake. I currently live in the HUGE town of Cisco Texas, and beginning this fall I will begin college at LCU in Lubbock (dam I can’t spell).

Howdy. 19 yr old jr. at UT Dallas, 5’11" 195lbs. I work out in order to have power over my fellow man. I’m also a science fiction fanatic and am always in the middle of several books. Let’s see… um… I play rugby for UTD. I also play competitive 9-ball and flag football. My hobbys are my life, amung them are piano, guitar, writing, philosophy, film… and DEADLIFTING!

DFW should have a t-cell

I am 35 years old, I am divorced, and I live in a van down by the river!

Haha. Now the real me. I’m 25 years old, 6ft. tall, 185 lbs. I’m married and have 3 kids. I work 2 jobs and go to school. I was a skinny punk throughout high school and started lifting shortly thereafter.

I quit lifting for almost 2 years and have now been back at it for about 5 months with no intentions of ever stopping again. T-Nation has given me lots of motivation and all the helpful advice a guy could ever need. And it’s free which makes it that much sweeter.
