OP, I wouldn’t try this. It sounds dangerous.

Training the SCM directly is a bad idea. Why? Because in most of the population (certainly those that have upper crossed syndrome/forward head carriage), the SCM is tight and over-facilitated already and the deep neck flexors are weak.

Work on good posture instead.

BBB
You have no clue what you’re talking about. Boxers and MMA fighters do shitloads of neck training. Wrestlers, too.
Unless you are trying to be sarcastc, you just showed yourself to be a complete dick!
BBB is the man and knows his shit.

OP, BBB didn’t say all neck training was a bad idea, just SCM training, and I don’t doubt that he’s right; I have to train my neck for safety in rugby and often guys who don’t understand neck training end up hurting themselves, so don’t be ungrateful when you ask for help and then get good responses.

You’re not wrong in saying that fighters/wrestlers train their necks, but you could have been a bit more respectful in your objection to one of the more valued and helpful members of the site, and had the sense to take in what he was telling you instead of being a dick about it.

Also, I think people just don’t understand why you want to look like a big ginger bastard with a turkey neck.

the OP sucks

This is the same guy who told me I have made no significant progress since I was 17. Lulz.

Nice post MODOK haha

BBB, how does one train the neck flexors and the cervical extensors?

Never had a problem with a thin neck past 120 lb of bodyweight… Then again, that’s probably because my grand intellect weighs so much and my love for the various metal genres…

I would blame intellect as well…because you knew early on that your entire ody needed to grow when you were at that stage.

Professor X - 21" neck without worrying about training my SCM muscle directly.

I guess I don’t know what I’m talking about either though.

Yeah, I see fatasses with huge necks all the time. Fat gets stored there - a lot of it. Measure again when you are 5% bf.

Dude, we get it. You’re a pathetic douche who feels inadequate about his appearance. Probably about his knowledge also as you haven’t replied to any of the retorts with anythig close to an intelligible response. Keep making childish jokes on the internet though it’s funy (btw you covet the neck of a fat ginger guy, fail?).

It’s different for everyone when it comes to storing fat. Remember that, take it home, chew it.

LOL!!!

Why don’t these jackasses ever say things like this directly to me? Internet bad asses with absolutely no ability to back their shit up in real life are so last decade.

OP, please just stop. Your making yourself look like a fool, acting like a typical 09er, and bring shame to the Celtics.

Why is it the 2 guys this phucktard responded to are the 2 same guys that I feel are the most knowledgable on this site? Dumbfounded…

Get down to 5% bodyfat, like I am in the process of doing. Are you too lazy or something?

Yes…training for over 12 years and doubling my body weight and currently weighing just under 300lbs while moving more weight than you could dream of doing shows that I am “lazy”.

I take shits larger than you.

Congrats on showing us quickly that you don’t deserve even the attention you’ve gotten already.

I always hate it when people HIDE that they are idiots. So for that, I thank you.

BRO, in your photos you look FAT. Why not diet down since you’re not powerlifting any time soon? Why not get a better camera? You can get a 5mp one from CVS for $30.

So I skimmed your hub and some old posts and stuff and basically you aren’t a powerlifter since you dont care about squatting or deadlifting. You claim to lift more than previous 1st place Mr. Olympia winners.

Yet, you won’t take some time off and diet down. Arnold or Franco or anyone else never walked around with 20% bodyfat. You’re not a powerlifter, so what gives? I ask you what your neck will measure when you’re at a lean bodyfat of 5% and you’re reply is ad hominem. You call me an idiot.

inb4 you’re poor - next to your avatar it says you are a “level 4” purchaser of Biotest supplements.

tl;dr stop posting so much you fat nerd and do some damn cardio
