for the running: I increase my pace slowly every week. start with 4mph for 20 minutes 2-3 times a week. Following week I move up to 4.5 then 5 and so on. You might alsp try running at 5-6 mph for 10 mins then fast walking for 5, slowly increasing your running time.
for the bruises while squating- deal with it. that’s like the callouses from deadlifting,and shin scrapes. They make you part of this unique group of fuckups
