I carried a whining fat girl through this whole workout. I don’t understand why I can’t just leave her somewhere, she makes things exponentially harder.
Yoga
I had a lot of debts to pay off from slacking earlier in the week.
800m Run
I’ll eventually do this outside, but not yet. Also, what differentiates run from sprint. I went fast enough that I couldn’t do more.
lbsxsetsxreps
Sumo
135x5 155x5 160x3x5
5k Row 27min
This clicked. I closed my eyes and just wanted to get through it. I can do a 2:40/500m pace forever, I managed to get my breathing in sync, and leg drive clicked. I did try to go faster, which really made me understand leg drive, but I’m not there cardio wise. Eventually I’m going to rock this.
Friday AM
Bootcamp
I keep hitting myself and getting tangled in the jump rope. It’s like penance for not doing it as a kid.
For running: I hate it, I don’t do it. I think one of the best ways I’ve read and tried is by mixing up weekly- distance, sprints and moderate, meaning if you run 3 times a week you do one of each session. I did this when I was in drumline to improve my cardio.
Example:
Mon- 8 mile run (this was my long run)
Wed- sprints 40 yd, 60 yd, 80 yd, 100 yd, 80 yd, 60 yd, 40 yd (I got to where I’d do this three times)
Fri- stadiums (Run a lap, then go up the stairs, across, back down, go to the other side, do the same thing, run a lap, repeat) and I’d do this at a medium pace and just aim to do one more every other week.
Of course, if you’re doing treadmill the crossover is pretty simple- long distance, sprints, and then modifying inclines.

Lot of work there - you push yourself hard. I don’t know where you get the energy.

Done.
I ate a lot of pizza this winter, I stored up all the energies. In fact so much that I’m trying to get rid of a lot of it now.
It looks like you are working your ass off. A word of caution from one work horse to another, make sure it has a purpose. If you LOVE running, then by all means, run your heart out. However, if you are doing it for some form of self torture or weight loss, STOP NOW!!! There are way healthier and faster ways of leaning out.
Bootcamps, running, lifting. That’s a lot of stuff you’ve got going on there. Sometimes it’s good to take inventory of what you’re doing, to determine whether it is meaningful and contributing to your goals.
I love to see people work hard, but just be careful that it isn’t leading to an injury or burnout!

Good to know, I don’t know if I’ll be devoting time to running more than once a week. I can still mix it up though.

I like sports bras that have underwire in em.
Do you maybe have some outlets you could hit up? I got a couple at the Champion outlet store this summer for CHEEP. :)
I always assumed the ones with underwires would be pokey. I ended up find a Hanes one I liked yesterday. That was after hitting all the name brand stores, who would’ve thunk?

Awe, thanks for your concern.
I don’t like running, I’ve complained about it enough. I’m not doing it to loose weight or self torture, but because I think any one that says they are athletic should at least be able to knock out a 5k. So, I’m doing it because I want to be able to do it. A 5k isn’t that much. It’s not actually that bad; I just complain a lot.
I’m doing a variety of things, but I don’t really spend that much time doing each one. Anything AM is about 45 min, and PM is maybe an hour. Rather than one long session I break it up. I do enjoy most everything I do.
Thanks, it is good to take stock once in a while.
I had cake yesterday. I’m not saying that as - I had cake, must workout - but if I can still have a piece of cake and it’s not a big deal, I know I haven’t gotten to a place where I need to re-evaluate.

And I’m laughing at you hitting yourself with the jump rope…LOL!!!
…i applaud you for using the jumprope in the way it was intended to be used…
I was going to just find a simple rope shot to show what I prefer to use it for, but you know how google leads one down paths, look at how pretty this is. Man, shibari results in some gorgeous suspensions.

I always sucked at skipping. I just can’t do it with feet together althought I can sort of hop from foot to foot. Dyspraxia ftw.
If you call jump roping skipping, what do you call skipping?
Last night I went to bed at 9pm. I know, super cool Friday night.
Sat
Yoga
A different sub, where’s my girl? The sub was good, I had the funs.
800m run
lbsxsetxrep
Press
20dbx5 25dbx5 50barx3x5 55x2
Still haven’t looked this up, 55 was too heavy, maybe next time.
Squat
BWx5 45x5 65x5 95x3x5
For 95 I used the 25s, instead of 2 10s and a 5, because I knew that baby 5 wasn’t going to come off. It gave me a happeh.
Clean
Broom Stick x5 50x4x3
So, my shoulders are bruised from the rack position. Do I keep doing it despite the bruise? Let bruise heal? I can deal with the pain, but don’t want to cause any actual damage.
um… why are you doing them in that order?? i think you are supposed to squat then clean then press. maybe it doesn’t matter, but you keep the order the same every time - right? i know my press got stronger when i started doing it first because i was fresher. actually… come to think of it that is probably why my press is weaker these days.
SS is turning out to be a lot for me. i used to snatch every day and i’d wake up every day looking forward to snatching! now… after doing a starting strength workout the next day i feel mostly like resting. will do some mobility stuff and a little bit of light snatching and maybe a bit of not too hard cardio, but really don’t feel like lifting heavy or pushing myself too hard.
not sure what to say about your shoulder. is it bruised muscle rather than bashed tendon??
that little evil kid reminded me of stewie from the family guy. i LOVE stewie from the family guy. so totally evil…
