Thanks
Too busy stripping for Charlie, huh? I’ve seen the things you do in that log.
You want me nekkid in your log also? I do what I have to do…

(fake blush)
How come you never get naked in my log?

Hi Patch! (giggity!)

I didn’t know you don’t eat meat? I’ve sort of morphed into a vegetarian as of late - haven’t eaten meet in a week, lol! Pork farmers nationwide are wondering “WTF?” I just don’t feel like eating meat these days tho. Must be the post-surgery…

Squats looked good - but yeah, what everyone else said (taking notes myself - great feedback!)

You’re cute btw. Just sayin’
I’ve never eaten the meats, it’s an Indian thing. I think out bodies (when we keep them healthy) tell us what we need.

Thanks!

yup elbows down and chest up.
depth seems fine.
the other comments have already been said - including the pretty hair ;)
Elbows down, chest up, sit back more. I will focus on these three things.

I really thought it looked next like there. I never realize that quick bun looked like that from the back!
mom-in-MD wrote:
food and squats look good.

Maybe try and sit back more on the way down, instead of bottoming out right away?
I don’t understand what bottoming out right away means. Can you esplain in slow kid terms for me?

I threw some of these into my warm up, and actually really like them. Dancer feet take a lot of impact, so why not steal from them?

Wends Am:
Yoga
I need to figure out how downward facing dog works best for my body. It’s supposed to be a rest pose, but I get so tired in it.

PM:
Rowing 5000m it took me like 25 min. This shit is hard!
Foam roller/ Lx Ball
1m walk on sand on the beach. My feet loved this. I need to use the beach in the summer more. It’s only like 5 min away, yet I never go.

Walking on the beach is the best! Re: downward dog-- I think this pose is easier if you can put your feet flat on the ground–take the weight off of your upperbody. If you don’t have the hamstring flexibility you could put your legs in a bit of a straddle.

I figured the law was all men were supposed to be nekkid in PW? I was just upholding the law. 0:-)

So I guess that means all the men who have visited my log in the past were not nekkid like Edgy?

How wide are your feet supposed to be? It seems like the class does the whole range of widths when I look around.

I’m not sure if there is an ideal and/or what it is. I use shoulder width because that’s what feels best to me.

I have felt like crap-o-la the last few days. On Thursday I thought 2 a days were just getting to me, but yesterday it turned out that TOM is a week early.

Thursday Morning
Feeling run down all I did was walk a slow mile and then foam roll/stretch for 45 min.

Thursday PM
Yoga, my mom bailed but I went anyway.
It was the first time I was able to slowly and steadily drop from plank to the ground. I usually end up getting most of the way there then plopping. It’s a small victory but I was delighted.
After yoga I did a few palloff presses.

Friday AM
Bootcamp. We did a lot of ab stuff, and I sucked at it.

By Friday night I was super wiped, so I picked bed.

Sat
I woke up sore as fuck so I consumed drugs ans just went to the gym to foam roll and play.
I dicked around for a while, and really stretched out my shoulders. Then wanted to feel useful so I supersetted farmers walks with plate flips.

who are you and what did you do with pch?

it is because people called you peaches and patches, huh.

sorry about your TOM. think mine might be on its way, too…

i like downward dog - but have some trouble getting my feet flat on the ground because of lack of dorsiflexion. might go to bodybalance this weekend… only i’m a bit scared because i don’t think i’ll be able to manage the lunge static holds anymore. oh well. good to be humble, i guess. congrats on your steady drop from plank.

Look at what I got! I think I loves them.

TOM really kicked my ass this go around. I’m not sure why, but I just hurt all over. Just to keep the habit of getting up and going in place, I went to the gym yesterday am. I walked in my new shoes a bit (woo hoo!) and then stretched. I actually tried the stuff from this article Corrective Complexes and while I’ve been rolling my quads, I hadn’t been stretching them. Oh, boy are the tight!

Last night I had every intention of squatting but then the bar felt overwhelming. So, I’m just bumping that workout to tonite. Hopefully I’ll be a whole person by then. What I ended up doing was:
Warm up - I threw some dead bugs in there

A1) Squat BW 3x6 45 5x5

B1) Waiters walks 25 x 3 x 40steps
B2) KB swings 25 x 3 x 20

C1) Single arm snatches 25 x 5 x 5

I did walk to the gym and home, which took about 20 min each way. I don’t know why I haven’t been doing that all summer. It was a good way to start moving and get blood to my legs after.

This morning was spin, but I mostly felt it in my abs. Just a smidgen of ab work and I’m this sore? Not good.

How was your diet leading up to TOM? If my food intake is crappy I get worse symptoms. sucks…

what I meant a longish time ago about the squats was not to ‘sink them.’ Like dropping into the hole really fast, etc…
But to take your time and sit baaaack…

yay new SHOES!!!

She was complaining a lot so I had to leave her behind. Did you see that ad in (I don’t remembers who’s) log?

Yeah, I can’t get my feet flat either. I get really close by the end of class, but it takes a lot of work to get there. Hopefully if I keep going it’ll get easier. Our instructor is a tiny ridiculously flexible girl.

Go to body balance. You always seem to post good things about it in your log, and I’m all about variety lately.

Nice shoes.

*was mostly nekked in the creation of this post.

I haven’t really been paying that much attention to diet, so lets go with it was ok. I’ve been trying to make good choices, but not super strict nor counting calories.

Oh, that makes sense, and I know exactly what you’re talking about. I’ll be more mindful of that.

I’ll post workout details in a bit, but here’s last night’s squatting. I tried to keep all the tips in mind, and the last one took forever to go up.

Those looked really good! Depth was great.

Thanks, I’m aiming for as low as possible.

Heh, I am loving these shoes too.
Your new name threw me off a bit - I was wondering who you were!

Woo Hoo! Back to a normal person.

Last night:

Walked to gym in new shoes. Still loving them!

Corrective Complexes
Ok, what’d you ladies do instead of foam rolling pecs? Other than that, I have a new fav.

Then I did Bre’s Butt stuff from the “I want a Bigger Butt” and yeah, what she ssid about pool of sweat, she’s spot on. I’m keeping her names for moves to preserve the sentiment.
Quad Stretch x10 ea leg
Sky Humping x10
1 Leg Sky humping x10 ea leg
Pirfomus Stretch - I did Pigeon for this because I didn’t understand her post when I tried to do it.
Fire Hydrants x10 ea leg
Jane Fonda x10 ea leg
Jump Lunge x10 ea side

Then I benched, my brother was there with me, so I went a little heavier than I usually do, and he ended up helping a lot on the last set. It turned into a suck it up and do it activity.

Bench
45x4 65x5 85x4x5 65x5

Squats - vid above
BWx15 45x3x5 65x5 85x2x5

Yes, I see how my bench and squat number are way to similar. I just really want to get the squat form ingrained into me before I go heavier. Hopefully just a few more sessions and I’ll be there.

I was going to DL, but the gym closed. So I’ll do those tonite. What’s the best camera angle for that?
