he is a strange person to work for- but is indeed very funny.
Yeah, I tend to close my eyes and try to work on the proprioception thing. The idea that what your bodies actually is doing and what you think it’s doing can be completely different.
Well, you do have a log in the old fart section. Just sayin’
No lifting today. I did take on the stairmill this morning, it will eventually be my bitch. Then yoga with the mom. She’ll only go if I go, and she needs to go, so I can’t swap it out for squats even though I wanted to. That means Friday night in the weight room it is.

maybe you need to practice crazy eyes? broomstick circles?
pch2 wrote:
I wonder if it’s different for women, our center of gravity is different.
i’ve wondered about that, too. i think it makes unweighted versions a bit harder. need to recruit the hip flexors more to hold oneself fairly upright with the center of gravity so far back behind the midfoot. i think that is why adding weight helps one balance - it helps shift the center of gravity forwards more over the midfoot. when the bar weights more than we do then i don’t suppose it makes a difference anymore since the bar is above the midfoot.

Aren’t some of the bumper plates your own personally? Can you take them to new gym with you?
i suppose i could… but the women’s oly bar really does play quite different from regular oly bars (smaller circumference so i need to grip it a lot different). it tends to mess things up when i dick around with stuff like that. so… best have a break from it. and… um… get stronger, or something ![]()

Another Friday, therefore more bootcamp. I’m not going to list all the stuffs we did. It was hard, I am tired.
I need to work on things where I am not standing such as mtn climbers and burpees. I can do 200 jumping jacks, but die after 15 sec of mtn climbers. What’s up with that?

As for your avatar… have you ever been to his stand up routine?
I saw Bill in NYC and here in Omaha. I have never before laughed so hard in my life.
You should do it, it’s a great way to make you get flexibility work in, and it’s full of hot girls in tight clothes. I think there was an article not so long ago on here recommending a class a week.
Never seen Cosby in person. I was just watching the Cosby show on netflix and needed an avi. Cosby also reminds me of my dad a lot, he wears the sweaters.
I’ll see if I can find some of his stand up online. It’s not like Saget though is it? Watching Sagat’s standup really fucked with watching Full House reruns.
Bill is nothing like Saget.
Think of the Cosby show with flare.

Cool, thanks.
I’m still working my way through the Cosby show on Netflix. I forgot how adorable Peter was. Why are fat babies so cute?

It’s nothing compared to the real thing, but you know for my cushy suburbanite community it’s scary.

Friday I ran a bit, and paid for it all weekend. Maybe a mile and half, two? And I spent all weekend with ridiculously sore calves and feet. I stretched and whipped out the lacrosse ball and everything and they still killed up until Monday morning.
I’m going to blame the shoes, combined with the fact that I don’t run. On a day to day basis I wear ballet flats with just a leather bottom or am barefoot (ok occasionally I go for the 3 inch heel, but they’re only for no lab, no walking around campus days). I’ve been working out in sneakers though, and I think the transition to running in sneakers killed my feet. So, I need to find a ballet flat like thing to work out in. Cal and SB recommended the Merrells, I’ll see if I can find a pair to try on this weekend.
Over the weekend I paint my moms kitchen. Not fun in 100 degree weather! And cooked!
spread looks awesome
I heard vibrams makes a running type too.
boo on the painting.
I would lose all my diet gains with that food… It looks great!

Yeah, I explored their site a bit yesterday, but honestly, I want something a little prettier. Also, the school gym has a giant sign saying “NO VIBRAMS.” I don’t really go there much now since the summer hours suck, but I’ll try to in the fall. I hear there’s a secret room with oly stuff to play with.

And now you know why my ass does not appear in SAMA.
I’m going to try to keep the cooking of not so healthy food to just once a week. I think I’m going to play with artichokes next week.
Any one have any good recipes? (keeping in mind I no eats the meats)
The food looks delicious! Merrell just came out with 2 more styles of the women’s barefoot shoe. So there are lots of colors and styles to choose from now. I’m going to give it a few months, but I definitely see another pair in a different style in my future!
I hope your feet are feeling better since the run.
Monday was a weird gym day.
In the morning spin was canceled and my feet were hurting anyway so spin probably wasn’t the best idea. I ended up on the dust covered rower in the corner. I only spent 15 min on it, but it’s definitely going to be in my cardio rotation. I just googled technique and don’t think I was going back far enough, so I’ll be aware of that next time. Then i spent sometime with my lacrosse ball and the foam roller. Argh stupid feet! Then 20 min with my friend the stairmill.
Lifting in the pm. It was ridiculously crowded and our only squat rack was occupied by SRCs the entire time! So I tried to be flexible:
Warmup
Squats
BW 3x5
45 2x5
BB OH Press
Baby bar (?lbs) 3x5
45 x 2x5
I had to use the giant bar for this because someone walked off with the smaller one. Who steals a barbell from a gym? How?
DL
65 x5
135 4x5
There was a lot of stretching and walking between sets of everything.
This morning spin.
PM Lifting
Warmup
OH Press
45 2x5
50 3x5
Squats
BW 3x5
45 2x5
65 2x5
75 2x5
The last of which is in le video. I wasn’t sure of what angle to pick, so just handed my brother the camera. I’m just really working on everything, so any tips will be super helpful.
Hi Pch
It is hard for me to tell depth, from this angle, but you look deep. I think you can definitely handle heavier too as you went up fast. I can’t really see a problem.
It might be better next time if the camera is on a bench instead so you can judge depth better(instead of pointing down) but it looked deep to me. Your core looked strong too.
What do you feel is wrong with it?
