Met with my Ortho guy at the VA, he pronounced me healthy (ish) and told me to “listen to my body” with regards to things using my elbow, I also found out that the immobilizer sling thing they gave me was not just as I assumed a “suggestion”, I wore it a couple times but seriously it sucked My foot is still in a boot but I can at least go lift (light) weights. I weigh 12 lbs more than I did on March 1st, apparently I have entered a bulking phase, who knew. Tomorrow I lift weights again so yay me.
yes they do, I also think that 4 weeks of eating and not lifting may actually make some people strong, just not me.

Waited until Friday to to lift, mainly because I have been getting really good at Modern Warfare 3 and I didn’t want to lose my momentum. I am a lazy pig.

Dbell Curls- 45’s x 8x8x8x8 (These seemed to stress the elbow more than the other stuff)
Called it a day, today my boobies are super sore and my tri’s have zeee pump, tomorrow is Easter so I shall rest and eat, all in all not half bad for a 1 month break but I really am sore as all get out today, oh well old fat men take heed and listen to your body lest you become a cautionary tale. As sore as my upper body is, imagine what my lower body will feel like when I can squat again.
Found out my beloved little dog (Gracie) has epilepsy, decided to curl up on the couch with her instead of going to the gym, yes I am that lazy. My wife asked me if I would like to go get a mani-pedi with her and my daughter, I was tempted but I took the hint and managed to inflict this on my body instead:

You’re asking me for bench advice? That’s laughable. Actually, I have such a weak upper body that my legs do a lot of the work for me. I’m trying to think of who has great videos on here demoing leg drive . . . anyone?
I recorded the benching so someone could tell me whats wrong with my set-up and maybe how to get my legs involved. I will post the video on here today.
Good News: Va Appointment on Monday, I am now cleared to do leg stuff while once again “Listening to my body.” Well near as I can tell my body says “Never Squat Again FatAss” So I will ignore it and listen to something else.
I was at the gym forever, I kept the weights and reps relatively low so I could keep rest times down and I just kind of piled on the volume (for me at least). I was only going to do squats initially with maybe some upper back work but I was feeling just so darn good that I decided to keep doing stuff until I got tired. It has actually been awhile since I didn’t feel shitty in the weight room so I decided to take advantage of my good fortune, of course I will probably pay for this tomorrow but today I feel great.
Paying dearly for yesterday, trying my old habit of “doing dumb things for limited gains” (also known as Feeder workouts I guess) in an effort to get some blood flowing to my traumatized body.

I saw the video of me benching and after the initial laughter had subsided I realize that my weight may end up being a long term issue, so I am attempting to change my diet and exercise without becoming a skinny little puss. Here we go.
Good on you. What’s your food plan? Just cutting out shit carbs and shit fats and liquid calories can make a big difference. For me, cutting out 1/2 gallon of ice cream during daily show every night helped as well.
my food plan is to stop eating so much bagged shit for starters. I eat enough “healthy” food, fruits, veggies, lean meats etc. My weakness is everything else, I love PoP Tarts, I love candy bars, I love french fries, I hate myself.
I actually took a video of myself this morning (the before video) and was going to post it, but it is just so fucking awful I have to think it over, I always thought of myself as smallish, not thin or lean mind you but not as big as I am now. I am crazy fat, and it has to change ASAP.
