Taking my time and losing my mind...

The first 7 to 14 days of no processed sugary shit is really tough, but then its not so bad. You just gotta cut it out and hang tough at first, then its not that big a deal, especially once you start to see measurable results and progress.

Normally I’m not excited when the Dolphins pick, but tonight I celebrate the arrival of the first 1st round QB selection for the fish since '83 (Dan Marino) I can only hope Tannehill has a similar career trajectory.

Having sugar cravings out the ass complete with a headache I actually considered taking some of my “Zombie Appocalypse” Vicodin stash to make the cravings disappear, I would enjoy the irony of a pain killer addiction being created to help lose a junk food addiction.

Still want the junk food, broke down and snuck a little box of “Nerds”, other than that I have been pretty “strict” my weight has decreased from 326 to 320 in 5 days, so that’s a drop in the bucket but I will ta,ke it.

The Bodybuilding continues, however I did manage a PR of sorts on the bench press with 315 x 17, I don’t think I’m getting stronger but I do think that my body is getting used to doing more reps at the lower weights. I have now dropped into the 315 range (317 this morning 315 yesterday) and while I am still fat as hell I have gotten used to eating fruit instead of processed shit food, my goal of being 275 by my high school reunion is now looking like a possibility.

On a bizarre and semi-related note, there is a natural bodybuilding show here on 11/2 that I made a joke about entering, of course now I am considering dropping down to like 230 or so getting a tan and embarrassing myself and my family in public, it will probably not happen (I have a short attention span, I’m surprised I have gotten this far) but now I feel like maybe it would be an interesting goal, plus I could finally by myself a thong.

This is my experience with reps. I become a better repper but there’s not necessarily carryover to an increased 1 RM.

When is your reunion?

A bodybuilding show? Why not?

I agree with your 1st point only because it is right. The reunion is the last week in July, I think it will be close but it can’t hurt to try. If you ask anyone who knows me they can give you a thousand reasons why a BB show is an awful idea (I am fat, I am pale, I am hairy, and on top of the fat pale skin and under the hair is covered with many square feet of tattoos that now look like a rorshach test.) Other than that they are all in.

Been doing the Dan John Easy Strength thing for 6 days, and I love it, I’m not sure what’s happening but I assume it’s good. Weight this AM 309.6, which I will round down to 305 on Facebook.

After 7 straight days I think I need a day off, got a training migraine in the middle of KB swings and almost threw-up/passed out at the gym, 22 may be an odd number for a set but 23 would have been enough to put me in a hole.

was going to take the day off but I felt so good that I figured what the hell, and I’m glad I did because the great mystery of benching was revealed to me today…LEG DRIVE!!! A guy much smaller than me was benching 335 for triples, he weighs about 185 or so, after my deads we got to talking and he showed my leg drive (plus moving my hands out) it seems that tucking my feet under me has limited my leg drive, he had me move my feet towards the end of the bench and mimic pushing myself towards the front of the bench (rather than pushing up in the air) and ka-pow 325 felt like and moved like 250-275 yay.

Put on 4 lbs yesterday, so that was awesome, getting a sleep study done next week as I continue my road towards self-improvement it is possible a short, thick 20-21" neck and enormous head make for a less than restful nights sleep for my wife (and me).

Got roped into cleaning out my garage and basement storage room today, that killed any motivation to work out so today was one of my 2 days off this week, strangely though it doesn’t feel like a day off. Damn you chores!!!
