Hey gang. After much deliberation and vacillation, I’ve come up with what can best be described as a relatively mild diet plan to lose a bit of fat over the next month. Right now, after several months of eating maintenance calories or slightly above, my bodyfat is around 8%, and I want to diet down to around 6% without losing any muscle (I’ve worked too damn hard for it). Normally when I diet I go fairly hard-core (MD6, lots of cardio, and calories at around 2400); normally when I diet, however, I also start out with more bodyfat than I have now. So, this time around, I’m trying a different tack: I’m gonna set calories at an isocaloric 3000 (maintenance is around 3300-3500 depending on what I’m eating and how I’m training at any given time), do 30 minutes of low intensity cardio (i.e., walking) 6 days a week, and apply 70 sprays of androsol morning only. My question is, has anyone else tried this kind of reduced-intensity diet to whittle away the last couple percentage points of bodyfat? If so, did you meet with success? Any tips or suggestions? I’ve never tried anything like this, and especially with the inclusion of the Androsol I’m quite excited to see how it works out. Thanks, Zev
I just finished a 12 week cutting cycle. Went from 15% to 6-7%. I was fairly aggressive and cut calories from 2800 gradually to 1500. I used low carb aproach - <70g carb/day except lifting WO’s used Surge and allowed myself 100g carbs (mon&fri). I cycled every 2 weeks between the old original MD-6 and Zenadrine and used the old T-2 (I had stocked up on that stuff last year). Also used creatine. I have a Proform crosstrainer convertable recumbant bike/elliptical jogger that I used for cardio (It’s a nice home machine - variety of either using as recumbant bike or converts to elliptcal jogger so don’t get bored). I was/am doing 30-40 min cardio every morn and 45-60 min every nite. (I’ve since stopped the nite cardio since ending the cutting cycle). I was doing 10-12 rep full body WO’s twice a week (mon&fri). (However, since ending the cycle, I’ve gone to a 4 day split once again). During the final 6 weeks of the 12 week cycle, I added Androsol at 70 sprays in the morn only and took 4 Tribex at nite only, cycling the Tribex 5 on, 2 off, each week. (I’m still on the Tribex). My strenght actually went up when I added the Androsol and Tribex and I felt great in spite of diet. When I ran out of Androsol and ended the diet, I started Methoxy. I feel very pleased with the results and when end the methoxy, am going to do a Mag-10 cycle. I am currently on the Myostat also.
