Tailbone Pain, Unable to Diagnos

Has anyone experienced tailbone pain which has been unable to be diagnosed by chiropractors or doctors, do you think a mri would be able to figure it out?

You sure its the bone? Or is it the area? Cause if its the area I think I may know whats going on…

Any suggestion would help, as each chiropractor or doctor I go to gives me a different diagnosis. The pains right in the middle though like right on the lower back .Thanks

i have no clue. does it hurt with any particular movements, or just when you press on it? when did you notice it starting? was there any incident that caused it?

Are you sure it’s bone? This is gonna sound weird but look at the area really close up in the mirror and check to see if there’s a hole, like the size of a pin or pencil tip. If you’re positive it’s bone ignore what I just said

Ankylosing Spondylitis begins in the SI joints (between the tailbone and the pelvis) and works its way up the spine from there. Look it up and if you think you may fit the symptoms go to a rheumatologist.

AS is a Motherfucker and symptoms appear differently and at different times for everyone
one common factor tho is the undiagnosable pain in the ass/tailbone/sacro area.
At about 16 I Had some of the most severe extreme pain in that area
I remember barely being able to get in n out of my car or even being able to walk to my classes.
I had seen so many drs, orthos, chiros etc and none could give me an answer for what it was.
Luckily I enlisted in to the Army and the drs there figured that shit out in a matter of weeks in basic training.
After doing some research and if u think this may be what youre experiencing then u will need a blood test for the hla-b27 gene
and probably an mri and endoscopy as well.
If you end up having this disease you have my complete sympathy

It can be well managed in many cases, especially with the newer drugs available.

I have a pretty normal life now with Enbrel.
