Stay gregron.
PX is well-educated and has good advice to offer at times. But his tactics of shouting people down, arguing points not written, acting like an all-knowing authority, and trying to make people feel stupid are tiresome.
Like I said before, when one of the nicest, most helpful guys on the forum calls out PX, you can’t simply chalk that up to just another hater. X will never change and will never accept that part he plays in reducing the quality of the forums.
I’ve been on the site for nearly 9 years and only started calling out X in the past few months. I’m just tired of it and so are many others.
Said it better than me…hear, hear.

And everyone (including myself) should realize you can’t debate X with sound logic and reason, he just doesn’t respond to it.
The 10 rules of X, were created for this very thing.

You probably should this site has enough estrogen .
Wow…you know literally nobody agrees with anything you say…
I only recognize about half the posters here. There have not been that many. This thread is still on topic.
This place has changed, man. It’s changed.
I would suggest a vacation and then decide what you want to do.
Stay
These forums are going to hell in a hand-basket, so we need all the cool people we can keep around.
I’m going to be real with you gregon. I enjoy your contributions to the NBA thread and have absolutely no problem with anything you’ve said in there. Most of my time on this forum is spent stalking GAL and posting in the NBA thread. Saying that however, I’ve noticed you being more assertive and aggressive recently than in the past. I would probably liken it to a `loose’ Prof X mentality, to be frankly honest. Kind of ironic huh?
On face value these two adjectives fit into the testosterone mould, and there’s nothing wrong with them, especially considering what values this place is supposed to promote. It’s hard to describe the way I want to describe it because it is no way near as egregious as Prof X can often be but I’d summarise your `new’ attitude as being rigid and non-flinching to the point of serving as thread antagonist in numerous occasions. You’re the guy now proving people wrong in the steroid and big but fat threads when you don’t really need to be that guy. You’re approaching the all-authority persona too quickly for my liking, especially since I know how genuine and fun you can be.
Maybe you could clear that up for me. Is it a coincidence I notice this change in your posting style after you get engaged? Hmmm…
But don’t take any offence, I mean no disrespect. I said I’d keep it real and I have.

Don’t even think about it man. If everybody that got into it with X left, he would literally be the only person on this site. The forums would look like this…
Prof X Wrote: Keep up the bulk man, looking good brother.
Prof X Wrote: Yeah looking good, don’t listen to those that think you should ever cut back on calories. Back in '82 I had a motorcyle wreck.
Prof X Wrote: Oh really, I’m a dentist.
Prof X Wrote: Cool, I bet you know everything in the world.
Prof X Wrote: you bet your ass I do.
LOL
You need to get back to posting more frequently.
gregron has turned super weird…
he used to be so laid back and cool

Stay. Don’t be a whiney bitch. Share your knowledge. Enjoy the interaction with people who share common intersts. Develop a thicker skin.

I tried man, not that hard, but I tried.
lets see…
I remember the days when i could waltz into any given thread and it would have me in tears it was so damn funny.
The days when threads were started to get people together to go smash some food challenges. Maybe that’s what PX and the moustachioed man with 2 first names should do. Meet halfway somewhere that has been featured on man vs food and go head to head.
It’s not up to other people to decide if you should leave or not. More and more threads have people in them saying how disillusioned they are becoming with this site. Then leave. There’s nothing keeping you here.
Personally, I enjoy posts from both of these people, but i have to agree with what others have said in this thread. They are both getting worse. Gregron more so than professor. The professor has always been a bit of a pompous ass, but i still enjoy the majority of his posts, those that don’t turn into a shit storm anyway. Gregron used to put out quality hilariousness. Now he just seems cynical and bitter.
Why perpetuate the shit by acknowledging the ridiculousness that PX puts out there sometimes. Nothing is making anyone continue the cycle. And fuck does it get old quick. That shit never goes anywhere. Pages and pages and pages of the same thing. It’s so predictable. Pretty silly when you think about it. I mean it’s the same thing pretty much every time, and from the sounds of it everyone is aware of it. Don’t acknowledge the trolling. It’s easy to spot.
But, what the fuck do i know? I’m just a fucking '09er.

True, we have already lost too many level headed, smart posters.
You seem like a good dude generally. You appear to lift/train which is also a bonus. However the non-stop pissing contests a number of people seem to be having with X are getting pretty old. Page after page of call-outs and negativity accomplish nothing.
So I would say stay, but as others have suggested either ignore or agree to disagree with X. If you feel like you need a break, by all means take one. The fact that you are thinking about it this much suggests to me that it might be a good idea.
All the best, whatever you decide.
I have no issue with you or X but based on the fact that you felt it necessary to have a popularity contest, I’m gonna say go.
this thread reminds of Top Chef, minus the Padma Lakshmi
gregron if you leave, who will be left to bust chops???

Good point. There is a reason no pro bodybuilder flat out ignores those leg abduction and adduction machines…while many of us avoid it because it isn’t a “manly” movement.
either stay and stir up some shit now and then or leave and start a new forum called “only people that agree with my omniscient ass can post here!”

Good point, so happy I went right to the end of your post looking for a TLDR.
Greg, have you tried foam rolling?
Haha, dude, it is not like we will really ever know if you left the forum, you could just be lurking and not posting. In all honesty, you have to have enough self control to not even acknowledge PX when you guys are posting in the same thread. Just state your opinion and that’s it. No more arguments or stupid jabs. Like others have said, stay and put him on ignore.
