Synergy93 - Fill Us In

Shame about the online coaching but I’ll be definitely following your local coaching with great interest.

All the best with your endeavours.

I wonder how long it would take to get from Sheffield (UK) to Minneapolis.

The YouTube videos sounds like an awesome idea! I’m looking forward to it

Yeah man, they will be. Videos always give a clearer understanding on how certain exercises should be performed. I’ll be coaching the guys up on mechanics, rep speeds, specific areas of the range of motion they want to employ specific types of contractions, etc.

My hope is that everyone can learn something from watching us TRAIN…not work out. I’m going to make sure intensity is at it’s highest, so that you all can see the difference between, what you think may be high intensity, and what high intensity truly is. Of course, this will be “smart high intensity.” No throwing weights around, bad form, excessive cheating on reps, etc.

It will be a high quality workout, full of “patient violence!”

I’ll be posting who will be attending, in the next few days, as well as what you guys can expect to see.

Thanks guys. I’m looking forward your feedback as well.

If anyone has any ideas (or requests for certain exercises, they would like to see performed, please let me know, and I’ll do my best to either mix them into the workouts OR film a video of myself doing the exercise in question.

Honestly, I benefitted tremendously from the I,BB training videos by the coaching tips CT dropped between sets.

Something as simple as thinking about the “shoulder shelf” while OHP has helped a lot with my technique (something he mentioned in one of his vids).

I look forward to your youtube vids. Do you have a user account setup yet? If so what is the your channel name?

Congrats on the trip to CO! I can’t wait to meet you and others and be able to train with you and CT. I’ve been a hue fan of CT and yourself so this is beyond awesome

I second the congrats on the CO trip, Syn! I know you’ll make the most of it, and can’t wait to see the vids.

@synergy: I live in Plymouth. The only concern I have is that I’m a beginner when it comes to lifting. Not sure if your program caters to my level. If you’re ok with it then I’m definitely interested. If not, I totally understand.
Can you send me a little more info about yourself??

Age, years training, current workout habits, etc.

I’ll take a look and see if we can get you involved with the group training.

PM me

thanks

Thanks. Congrats to you too! It’s going to be a truly awesome experience.

I’m very much looking forward to meeting you as well.

You been training hard??? Hope so…that altitude is a bitch!

I moved to Denver for 3 months out of college, to prepare for the NFL combine (my agent at the time was located there), and the altitude makes things “interesting” initially. Ironically, we’ll be just getting adjusted, and then have to leave!

It’ll be another good challenge.

Keep working hard. I’ll see you soon

Hello there Synergy!

Good luck with your preparation in the coaching program with Thibs. Clearly, if there’s anyone who deserved this opportunity, it was you. Nice to see your detailed posts, and also great that you’re perhaps the most helpful dude on the board.

As for your “weak-points”, what do you plan to do with those areas? Any specific excersises, or techniques?

Thanks for this great thread. Cheers
I’ve been implementing some additional sled work for my “weak” areas (lats and quads), as well as just doing more overall work for those areas…mostly in the form of sled work, but have added in some additional volume via supersets, isolations circuits (not for quads…some quad extensions), and also jacking up workout nutrition on the days I train these body parts.

Trying to come up with a name for the new Youtube channel…the one I’m creating for the group training that I’ll be hosting.

Max characters is 20…no spaces

I tried:

TheSynergyExperience
ProjectSynergy
and a couple others…all taken

It doesn’t necessarily have to contain the word Synergy----anyone have any good ideas for a name???

Diet-TrainingSynergy
SynergyGrowthProject

im not very creative

SynergyEnergy

SynfulTraining

Too corny? Lol

You bet I’ve been training my butt off, is there any other way?

SynergyExperience, LiftWithSynergy, SynergyTraining, SynergyLifting, SynergyBuilding

I can’t wait to see this stuff. Always love the T-Nation vids but they rarely put out new ones so this will be a nice “show” to catch.

Synergy - If you need an editor PM me and I’m more than willing to help out. You could just send me the files some how and I’ll slap it together. Not to plugola my own stuff, but if you look up “Stefan and Lonnie” on YouTube you can see examples of my work, its more in the style of a comedy show but I’ve been meaning to get into training videos for some time now so this will be a fun project for me to work on if you so choose to use me.

Hey Syn
Any news on the training program? I’m looking forward to following it.

I’ve been following a program CT designed for me, for the past 4 weeks (6 week program).

He just did a live spill about this type of program tonight. Check it out, very similar to what I’ve been doing. Mine involves a ton more work than the ones he’s posting in the spills, but the basic principles are the same.

Simply awesome.
