But seriously congrats on the fat loss! Just make sure you have the muscle underneath to show. At 5’5" 185lbs 15% you should have some muscle under there.
Yea, I can’t wait to see my head dancing on another body. If you do, make it a woman’s body, and make me hot.
My biggest worry is that there won’t be muscle under there, or not enough for me to be happy with.
After the 22 weeks, I have another 34 week cleaner bulk planned.
I might start another log when I get done with this one, but that’s a looooooooooooooong ways away.
the only way your going to do it is if you go back to Diego Garcia. I just got home… I want to go back so bad!! Sorry I never got a chance to work out the Navy Gym, and when I was there I didnt see the bench thing. I am sorry man. But I did work out on the AF side and gained 20 lbs. I cant believe how much my strength has gone up. Lets both take a vacation back there.

Hey, only 3 months?
I knew you’d like it.
Congrats on the gains.
I’d LOVE to go back. Even after being there for a year. Great times!
A-men to that. Once I turned 30 – I found that clean eating also ment no booze. In my younger days – it was easier to recover from an occasional binge – not anymore.
FYI – I’m watching your thread too. I started a clean eating program at the end of June – so I can sympathize. My original goal was simply to eat clean, and no booze for 30 days. I used to drink regularly. I’m into the 10th week now – because once I got over the shock of a clean diet – I found it was easier than I anticipated to maintain (I actually like my oatmeal, strawberry, and protein shakes for breakfast now).
I started at 265lbs, and 6’0" – that’s easily 30% BF plus plus – so I have further to go. Currently I’m 243 – down 22 lbs – which absolutely feels great. Next goal is 230 – but I can tell its getting harder.
I haven’t been training seriously for 4 years – so my training age feels as if its 0 – even though I’ve done some serious training previously. I was blessed (maybe cursed now) with a fast metabolism – so I used to never have to worry about what I ate. But as I aged – the poor diet was litterall consuming me. I was so out of shape when I started that full body workouts for an hour – 3 times a week was all I could take. Just the basics – chest, back, legs, and abdominal work. But its comming along. Unfortunately the semester is in full swing now – and my teaching load is dragging down the training – so I’m trying to hang in there too.
I’m pulling for you – keep us posted.

Yea, you lost 5 lbs and about a pint of Testosterone from your system! Alcohol is evil!
My days of posting on that drinking thread are over. I don’t know what kind of idiot would start such a thread.
I need to justify staying away from beer, hence the abrupt attack on your post.
Damn, I was wiped out after the squats! I haven’t squatted with that many reps in a single set in a long, long time. I’ve only been working up to a 3RM or a 1RM, or doing 10X3 with my 6RM.
Third set actually felt the best.
Then it was on to going back and forth between dips and heavy db rows. I got through all 30 reps for each, but it seemed like it took forever (even with 1 minute rest between sets, it’s around 25-30 minutes if you include the lifting time).
Then it was on to one quick set of a bi and tri exercises.
Half way through the 10X3’s I was dragging, but kept thinking about how I’m not lifting again until Monday, so I needed to push myself hard enough to deserve 2 days off. Plus I wanted to ‘earn’ my Surge.
I always get more sore when I decrease my carbs significantly.
Hopefully the protein, creatine and maybe the TRIBEX will help keep me from losing too much muscle (I guess losing any muscle would be “too much”).
I noticed my squat form yesterday wasn’t as good as it used to be.
I caught myself leaning forward too much on the way up, and having to compensate with a goodmorning-squat. Not on all or even most of the reps, but out of the 22 reps, I probably had bad form on 6-8 of them. Not good IMO.
A guy at the gym already noticed that I lost weight, so that felt kinda good. He is also into strength training and asked how my squat is doing. I felt almost disappointed that I had to tell him it’s been a while since I squatted, and that I’m “cutting”.
No worries though. I might feel bad about not powerlifting right now, but I know I have a lot of time to make up for it, and the next time I do, I’ll have the advantage of not having all this fat on my body.
The dumbbell rows felt real good since I was using more weight that ever before, even though I was doing 10X3.
MMMMmmmmmmm, Mmmm, Mmm today’s one healthy* meal was awesome.
I had a modest steak (medium) cooked with onions and mushrooms, 2 eggs scrambled, a side of green beans, a bowl of grapes, and a small serving of mashed potatoes.
*beans were smothered in butter, and mashed potatoes were probably instant, and made with butter, but for the most part it was minimally processed food.
I’ll have one less shake and no peanut butter today to off-set the extra calories a little. I realize the calories will still be above normal, but I think that’s okay.
This meal was my second of the day (first was the shake and fish oil caps of course), so 3 more shakes with fish oil and that’s it.
Okay, I had a White Goodman moment when feeding my daughter.
I made her grilled cheese and she was taking forever to finish it.
It was tempting the hell out of me so I picked it up and smelled it, torchering myself with it, then actually took a bite and spit it out into the garbage after a few chews (no swallowing except what was on my teeth). I instantly thought of the movie Dodgeball, and figured I should share this whole experience/moment of weakness.
I should also mention that I was late with my last meal, and that should not happen at all while on the Velocity Diet.
You would laugh your ass off if you saw me smelling the damn grilled cheese sandwich.
I had my first ever PTA meeting (for pre-school) but ended up thinking I wouldn’t be able to go because tonight was for the parents, and tomorrow is for the children.
I went to the park with my daughter because we had nobody to watch her, then when I picked up my wife I found out that they said we could have brought our daughter!
I’m sure I had a whole lot more fun with my daughter at the park.
Anyway, my workout was:
A1 10X3 DB Bench
A2 10X3 Weighted Pull-Ups
B Barbell Lunges 3X8
C E-Z Bar Curls 1X12
D Tricep push downs 1X15, 1X6
E Hamstring Curls 3X6
Felt okay, but I forgot my Surge while working out, and had to drink it all when I got home, instead of sipping on half of it during the workout, and drinking the rest when I’m done.
No big deal I guess.
Bad news: just ran out of HOT-ROX today, but I still have a bunch of Vasopro ephedrine and caffeine. I’ll try that for the second half of the V-Diet and see how that goes.
It has always worked well for me in the past, but the results have also always tapered off.
WORKOUT:
A1 Deads 10X3 365lbs; only got 2 on the 10th set
A2 Military Press 10X3 135lbs; only got 2 on 10th set here too
B DB curls 1X10 40lbs
C DB Flies (10, 10, 8) 40lbs; got bored with these for some reason and just wanted to stop at 8 on the last set.
D EZ curl Skull Crushers 1X6 115lbs
GRIP KEPT F*KING UP ON DEADS! Pissed me off. I had to come down a little harder than usual, and kept getting looks from some old guy. He was curling in a squat rack (really), with 65lbs total, so that was a 10lb weight on each side of a 45lb bar.
Anyway, he didn’t seem to slam his weights on the rack until after he looked at me when I was deadlifting, then every set he slams his 65lbs down on the squat rack like a douche bag. I was having a bad enough time without him distracting me by being a dick.
On the plus side, the weights increased in just about everything this week compared to last week, but last week I didn’t really know how much to start with so I may have went too light.
Diet went well, even with the ephedrine and caffeine in place of HOT-ROX (so far).
I almost fell asleep at the wheel though, coming home from Albany (1.5 hour drive). May have been from “crashing” off of the ephedrine/caffeine, but I don’t know for sure.

Okay, I lied. That wasn’t all for today.
I was thinking about this for a while, and realized I hadn’t made many solid goals yet, besides following the specific routines for the next 22 weeks.
GOAL: SINGLE DIGIT BODY FAT BY THE END OF THE 22 WEEKS!
This will, at best, be the second time in my life I did this. Possibly the first, as I wasn’t sure what I was at the last time.
Last time was 5 years ago when I weighed 148lbs. I was able to see my abs without flexing, so guessed my bf to be around 8-10%. Before then, I’ve always been chubby, fat and even obese my whole life.
Single digits, here I come!
I was just re-reading my own thread, and thought it would be a good idea to bump this post up to here now so I don’t forget about it.
