Switching to Beyond 531?

I am relatively new to 531. Currently in my 4th cycle using the basic 531 template:
Wk1: 5/5/5+ (65%/75/85)
Wk2: 3/3/3+ (70/80/90)
Wk3: 5/3/1+ (75/85/95)
Wk4: Deloading at warmup percentages.

I got my hands on beyond 531 and found out about the 6 week cycle template with joker sets, pr sets, singles and so many new things I never knew about.

Now the question: Ive been making good progress following the basic template. With the new information Im confused. Do I continue with whats working for me? Or switch to a 6 week template. I would really like to implement heavy singles and joker sets in my routine for sure.

Sq 290 Press 150 DL 370 BP 225 @ 170lbs bodyweight 5’9
Got probably 2 more cycles before I go 3 cycles back and reset.

I wouldn’t change anything if I were you. Maybe wait until you go back 3 cycles to implement any new ideas. And if you do add some things in…do it slowly. Don’t just try everything at once.

I do the PR set, a couple of joker sets (on a good day), and First Set Last.

The key is to remember that the jokers are more of a bonus. Don’t make the mistake of treating them like they’re the main effort. If you hold back on your PR set because you want to save yourself for the joker you’re missing the point.
