Sweet Tooth Cheats

I try to curb it with plain cheerios sweetened with stevia…seems to help when the cravings hit.

I’ve been doing this with the plain La Croix. Actually helping quite a bit.

Now that I’m officially starting to try and lose weight again, I’m going back to my cool whip and cocoa nibs or cocoa powder. A spoonful is like 15 cals.

Bourbon.

Oh, sweet tooth? Ben and Jerry’s. Microwaved for exactly 9 seconds to make it perfectly spoonable.

Also, there’s a killer little bakery near me that makes insane donuts. Not kid’s cereal-crusted, bacon-wrapped whatevers - they only make jelly, Boston cream, or chocolate-frosted, but they’re always fresh and oversized and perfect. And they have a mean brownie cheesecake. And their blueberry pie. And their peach pie. And their cherry pie.

The basic “if it’s not in the house, I can’t eat it” policy. When there’s a Ben and Jerry’s sale 2 for $5, I’m in trouble.

We managed to get no trick-or-treaters last year, so this year I said “Ya know what, I’m going all out this year and getting full-size bars, so any kid who comes by gets an extra-reward.” So I bought an 18-pack with full-size Snickers/3 Musketeers/Milky Ways.

Only problem is, we somehow got no trick-or-treaters again this year, so I was “stuck” with the box. They lasted about a week. Not all me, the kiddos in the house helped to the point of literally saying “We cannot get full-size bars next year”.

It’s mildly awesome knowing that even Chris is human

We never get trick or treaters, but I use this time to stock up on my favorites. I’ve only recently switched to the minis (gotta watch that middle). Prior to that it was the king sized, though I have been known to down one of those special issue giant sized ones. (probably why I gotta watch that middle)

If I ever happen to be in NYC during Haloween, expect a knock.

If you tickle me, do I not laugh? If you poison me, do I not die? If you prick me, do I not giggle at the word ‘prick’?

I’m in the suburbs on Long Island. But… yes, do.

I love junk chocolate candy:

-snickers and all the new varieties, mars, milky way, 100 grand, m&m’s and all the new varieties, pay day, etc etc

My wife keeps the house stocked well with treats for the kids…and me. Post dinner I usually have 1 or 2 mini chocolates with a double or triple green tea.

Last night however, I had 10. That happens once or twice a month lol.

Been managing to cut sweet cravings with sweet potatoes. But if brown sugar and a sliver of butter. Really really helps.

Almond milk, or whatever milk you like, two sugar cubes or a teaspoon of sugar, liquid sweetness.

Rice, teaspoon of sugar, sliver of butter, sweet carbs.

If you can find cold pressed coconut oil, sautee your meats or veggies in it, so it can sweeten it up.

That’s all I got really lol
