Surge Recovery/Sugar?

Hey I was wondering if there was a reason why surge recovery has 42 grams of sugar per serving. I normally try to avoid too much sugar but surge is a good product and so i figured there was a reason and was curious. thanks!

To spike insulin.

Also, glucose – which is in Surge Recovery – and common sugar (sucrose) are not the same thing.

Glucose is immediately usable (once in the bloodstream) by muscle: sucrose is not. Half of it yields fructose, which cannot itself be used by muscle, and in excess cannot all be converted to glucose and is correlated with development of metabolic syndrome.

While you would be well-advised to not consume that much sucrose at one shot, consuming the amount of glucose in Surge Recovery at the times recommended can be an aid.
