So I’m new to all these Biotest products and got my first order today.
HOT-ROX, Surge and Chocolate Low-Carb Grow!
I am used to drinking my protein shakes with milk instead of water because I MUCH prefer the taste that way. The directions on both Surge and Grow! say to take them with water so I tried that and…ugh. I’m not a big fan. However, with milk I LOVE them both. I was wondering if this has adverse affects on either formula and if I should suck it up and use water (Not sure how long I could last like this tho).
Take Surge w/ water as directed. It is already formulated to be taken as is PWO. You can mix your Grow! w/ milk if you want.
The only problem I see with the milk is if it has fat. The point of the sugar in Surge is to spike the blood sugar which has a host of good effects post-workout. The fat would slow the release of insulin. Use fat-free milk if possible. Anyone see other problems?

There is no reason to take milk with Surge. It is specifically formulated to work as perfectly as possible when mixed with water. Mixing it with milk will just mess with the nutrient balance. Surge is formulated to be absorbed as fast as possible. Milk is not.
I have had milk with Grow!, though, and it’s just fine.
