I can’t seem to find it, but I thought I read in a post that it’s not good to mix Low-Carb Grow! with milk. Is this true and if so, why? I’ve been mixing mine with skim milk and love it. I was on vacation last week and didn’t have a blender so I mixed some Grow! with water…I couldn’t stand it. Other than the extra carbs with the skim milk, are there other reasons I shouldn’t use it?
There is nothing wrong with mixing Grow! and milk. I belive you’re referring to the thread about some guy mixing surge and milk, which is a no-no. Hope that helps.
The reason why mixing Surge with milk would be bad is because Surge is specifically formulated to be absorbed by the body as quickly as possible post-workout, and it already contains the right ratio of ingredients. Adding milk will slow down absorbtion and not add anything useful to the ingredient ratio.
Grow!, being a more general-purpose protein, does not have those strict requirements.
