Surge and Creatine

I just picked up some creatine for the first time (I know, what took so long). A lot of the articles and past threads have mentioned taking creatine PWO. Is it ok to mix into my Surge?

It is okay, just make sure it’s not that creatine/punch combo. It’s gotta be straight creatine powder.

Yeah, go ahead and do it. Biotest encourages that and the creatine won’t get in the way of Surge’s effects. I personally use micronized creatine.

Typical bodyweight gain is 5-15 pounds, lifting poundage varies depending on the bodypart and the individual, but most of your poundage should go up. Creatine is cheaper than it was 5 years ago and it’s pretty safe, so now is a good time for anybody to try it.

If I recall correctly, the high carbs in Surge combined with the creatine help each other get absorbed for you PWO nutrition. Creatine with high GI carbs is encouraged. For better absorbsion, mix the creatine powder in some hot water to disolve, then mix into your Surge PWO drink.

Personally, I don’t have the advantage of disolving it first…I keep a little baggie of creatine in the Surge container and mix it all up in my car before I head home (keeping a shaker and bottle of water waiting in the car too)

Another note, Creatine will retain more water in your body and you’ll likely gain some water weight immediately…and in the hot summer months, make sure you consume even more water…and the creatine has some effect on dehydration too.

Ain’t nothing better to mix it in.

Isnt mixing creatine a bad idea ive heard of it making something called creatinen or something to that affect…? anybody know what the hell i speak of to enlighten me lol?

If I recall correctly, creatinen happens when you let the creatine solution sit too long, and it becomes an inert and harmless substance which you can’t use…so mix it up and suck it down

You got it Strongman. Hence the reason why “creatine serum” products suck…they sit in the “serum juices” weeks before you actually consume it. Same with BCAAs to, don’t put them in your water and let them sit.

Will it make me look fat?LOL.

Thanks for the input. I mixed 10g in with my PWO Surge this morning.

If you’re in maintenance phase, no need to use more than 5 grams.
