Surge After Ab Workout?

TUFFLOUD

If you take the full dose of Surge for you bodyweight it would roughly be 37 grams of protein and 70 grams of carbs. that’s 3 scoops. What most people don’t realize is that when you wake up you need carbs(body starving all night) and post workout to replenish glycogen stores and start repairing and building the muscle. No matter what body part you are working or intensity the muscle is still being stressed and needs to be refueled. even if you are on a cutting cycle, deplete carbs elsewhere throughout the day. right now you seem to be on the right track, just remember the weight won’t come off as quick as in the beginning

What exactly are you doing on your Ab days? If you’re just doing a bunch of body weight stuff you might want to consider doing a single scoup of Surge instead of a full one. If you’re doing heavy weighted work and going all out on the intesity level do the full serving for a week or two and see if it’s affecting your weight loss goals, if it is cut back. Saying “figure it out for yourself” was a smartass way of saying it but really, experimentation on your self with your current routine is the only way you’ll get a definitive answer.

You seem to think taking a full dose of Surge after doing your ab work might be a waste of the supplement and load up too many calories after a not so strenuous workout. I’m inclined to agree with your unstated initial assesment.

I don’t see the problem with the original post. There’s no reason to post his whole routine; he’s not asking for advice with the routine.

I think it was a fair question because your body isn’t experiencing nearly as much work with an ab-only workout.

I would guess that you don’t need as much of a strong post-workout drink after that workout.

Maybe half of your regular serving of Surge after that workout.

If your goal is to support protein synthesis and muscle anabolism, then this post workout period is imperative for low or high intensity workouts. You should make sue to take in 30% of your overall calories during the three hour post workout period. You should be taking in protein and complex high glycemic carbohydrates (about 30% of your overall daily calories at this time) in smaller meals to keep insulin levels high and shuttle in necesssary amino acids for growth.

Anyone besides me notice that when anyone asks a question, they don’t actually want to hear any answers? They simply want a validation of the crap they asked to begin with?

This applies to more than just web forums, but call-in talk shows and such as well.

I find it extremely amusing.

Yes, I have noticed that, but not in this thread.

To me it looks like the original poster was looking for an answer to his question, not answers to other questions that he didn’t ask.

Thank you for seeing the truth.

It seems like the majority of people who participate in internet forums just sit there and analyze everthing that a person types so they can somehow respond with a “I’m smart, you’re stupid” comment.

It’s funny because in person, no one has ever acted like this to me when asking questions about nutrition, training, and supplements. Amazing how the majority on here is an expert in whatever they happen to be talking about at any given moment.

Or is it because they are on the internet and no one knows who they really are?
