Hey guys/girls. I’m 18 years old and looking for a bit of an edge without taking hardcore gear. I was wondering, since I’m 18 and at the peak testosterone producing age, will TRIBEX, Alpha Male or any other Tribulus based products produce noticable results? Thanks in advance!
I’d take a look at the each individual info thread for the supplements you are talking about.
Cy Willson is the man to talk to. I can recall that he has addressed this issue many times.
You only have a certain amount of “edges” in your life. Why burn them all up when you are 18. When you turn 25, that will leave you with one option… steriods.
At 18, use the best edge… proper nutrition and your body’s natural growth. Every T-Man/Woman would love to have that back. Give it your best shot while you still have it.
Learn to love and practice the principles of John Berardi. Bust your ass in the gym and save the stuff for a time when you really need it.
Surge, Grow!, and ZMA are enough to start.
Hope this helps.

Actually being “18” isn’t really an edge over say a “26” year old, with all other things being equal. I think it’s become a bit of a misunderstood myth here, and is reimbeded in everyone’s mind that if someone is in their late teens they somehow can gain a ton of mass… The testoserone levels when a man is in his late teens to reach or come close to their height, but they stay at that level for 10 years, and fall very, very slowly there after.
As for supplements, you may want to check out the ones that have been proven, be skeptic, most supplements are damn near worthless.
I would recommended.
-
Fish/Flax Oil
-
A diverse multivitamin
-
A big amount of great food
-
Creatine (CEE is a good option)
On a side note it’s good that you realize that you’re endocrine system has most likely not fully matured, this yet another reason why being 24 may be an edge but 18 is great but not exactly the “glory” age it’s built up to be.
I would also stress even though you probably know, that supplements all of them are simply an aid, they really in the big picture do very little.

The point wasn’t implying that he could somehow gain ass loads of mass because he is 18. The point was more so that at 18 there is no point in burning out every option. There are more applicable supplements (Low-Carb Grow! and Surge) then Alpha Male. For the price of Alpha Male he could buy 1 canister of Low-Carb Grow! and 1 Canister of Surge and cover two areas.

I wouldn’t personally (and I am open to disagreeing opinions) consider a Tribulus based product to be a potential burn out, let alone a hugely viable option in the future, which I think would have the effect of a sparrow fart in a cave.
I don’t know his personal financial situation, and if everything’s in general check, I too would opt for a post workout supplement, then again we are discussing supplements here, and an edge is minimal in most cases. Still it seems like a natural maturation, the newer lifters start up believing that if they take product x with product y then they have most basis covers breaking that chain of thought usually helps.
I didn’t attempt to say you said about being in one’s late teens. I was trying to clarify a pseudo-myth that is passed around like hotcakes.
EC, I like your suggestions for supplements, but where did CEE come from? It seems to contradict your entire philosophy…
Cheers
