A JLA movie is tough, just because DC’s characters are all SOOO strong. Even DC’s ‘mortal’ hero Batman defies all odds and can take down any member of the JLA.

I guess that’s why I think JLA will be a harder movie to make then Avengers. Marvel’s ‘best’ characters are relatively weak, minus Thor and Hulk, who are still not really comparable to someone as strong as Superman, Flash, or even Green Lantern.
Ok, outside of the fact Hulk would use Supes cape as toilet paper. You are correct. That is why they would have to de-power all of them.
I don’t want to get into a ‘nerd’ off, but idk. The thing about Hulk and Superman is, yeah technically have a ‘unlimited’ amount of strength. BUT, Hulk’s is basically fueled by rage, anger. Supes is basically is self-constrained. He has put up mental blocks on himself, and in reality he just fly up to the Sun at any point he wants, absorb a stupid amount of energy, and go full god mode.

Best quote I’ve seen about Superman is he’s “as strong as he needs to be”. He really has no limits.

John Singleton wanted Tyrese Gibson to play Luke Cage. At one point The Rock was asked to play Captain Marvel but he said that he’d prefer to play Black Adam.
Hahahahah, Man Singleton still owes me money from “Baby Boy”. He must have been High when he made that statement. I can’t see Tyrese playing a tough guy.
Not anymore. Tyrese has fallen into “funny guy on fast and furious” status. I think Singleton was thinking more along the lines of setting it in a Boyz n the Hood type setting…which is really who Cage is.

Meh…

I mean, the ONLY real thing going for Thor is he does use ‘magic’. So Supes is susceptible to that. But even that I’m not sure is enough. lol

I believe Superman was Godlike in what they called the Silverage or something like that. But I remember John Byrne reeled in his powers a lot.

Haven’t read comics since the early 90’s but hasn’t Darkseid and Doomsday beaten Superman a few times.

Googled Flash’s power. There shouldn’t be any crime with him and Superman around. lol

I always thought him and Marvel’s Iceman were just a couple of dorks but they are insanely powerful.

This is what I post anytime somebody comes along trying to claim that So-and-so is stronger than Superman. Nope.

Just found this. Interesting.

I believe this is the one that I originally found. Be sure to read through his powers and abilities. Thor can’t hang.

^This.

Like I like Superman fine, but I’m not a fanboy or anything. He may barely crack my top 10 of favorite heroes.

But he is seriously, infinitely strong lol. DC has not just made him god-like, or even a god as in the way Thor is. He is literally like a “God” in the case of Superman Prime. He’s able to create life and shit. lol

Holy shit.

It did seem like Superman in the new movie either was hurt at least annoyed by mere bullets. I mean it looked like he was ducking and turning away…but sort of like we do if someone sprays us with a hose.

Exactly. I mean, I like many of the heavy-hitters in both universes such as Thor, Parallax, Thanos, Darkseid, Sentry, Silver Surfer, etc. etc. But, really, the boyscout can wreck just about any one of them. If anyone here keeps up with the JLU cartoon they would know that Darkseid, coupled with technology from Brainiac, still got his ass whooped by Big Blue. For the record, I love Darkseid. One of my favorite characters with his whole “Anti-Life Equation” search. Supes kicked his ass though.

You guys are talking about Superman Prime, not Superman.

There is a difference. No one ever said “could so and so beat Superman Prime”, because the answer to that is pretty much always no.

I mean I put Superman Prime as Thor with Odin Force. While there powers seem similar, I think Superman kind of ‘displays’ he is more powerful, he doesn’t just seem to posses them ‘in theory’.

I figured somebody would argue the whole “Superman Prime isn’t Superman” point. However, to me, Superman Prime simply represents the potential of Superman. He is, in all likelihood, what the main timeline Superman will become, or can become if he so chose. So, to say that it doesn’t really count because Superman and Superman Prime aren’t exactly the same is similar to trying to argue that Captain America would win in a fight against Bruce Banner because Bruce Banner isn’t “exactly” the Hulk.

It’s just placing a limiter on Superman to try and make a fight between him and someone else seem more interesting. Point is, Superman will always be able to bring it to another level. Same with Bruce, trying to be like, “Oh, but what IF Banner couldn’t transform into the Green Goliath?” Well, most likely he would and then fucking Hulk Smash.

He does look good with that afro on. Fucking hilarious.

Damn, I never laughed so hard in my life.

I think we need to advance cloning so we can have two or three Rocks so he can star in everything.

He could certainly be a Klingon commander in the next Star Trek.

HA! In all honesty that shit would be cool as hell.

But the rock seen the writing on the wall he knows very few big guys last long in the Biz that is Hollywood. He is putting out as much product as he can as fast as he can before the Emo-Rock faze comes back and everyone is running to see Juno-2 Emo Rock gods against the world…

Yeah…look at how he lost weigth for all those Disney movies a few years ago. I figured he was done with action stuff.
You do have a point in that being huge doesn’t guarantee success like it may have in the 80s…or maybe Arnold was unique. I guess Stallone counts but it may have just been Arnold carrying that whole decade.
