So I’m half way through week 5 (Phase II, Week 1). I think my biceps have gotten bigger, but after finishing phase 1 I haven’t noticed any size gain in my shoulders. I eat a shit load, take my BCAAs and Surge, and get plenty of sleep at night plus a nap almost every day.
I haven’t noticed the tremendous gains everyone tauted about when they did this program, but I have noticed fat gain.
I just don’t think my body responds very well to anything. When I was cutting last spring, I was EXTREMELY maticulous with my diet and training, I never went out at night so I could rest, and I followed a CT cutting program to the absolute T.
Still, I lost more muscle than anything, and my fat loss was slow/stagnant at best. Now I train hard as hell, eat a lot of clean food, and sleep as often as possible and all I seem to gain is fat.
I sound like a bitch but it’s frustrating as hell. Still, I will continue to train hard and hopefully the gains will come.
Does anyone have before/after pics or stats from when they did this?

Sorry to hear that the gains are not as good as you expected, just last week someone commented on my build " you have quite a nice build there you must lift" i have never had these comments before i did this program i will admit that it is the third time.
but i feel that my shoulders
arms and chest have grown, although my weigh has stayed within a couple of pounds, i am trying to reach 200 but seem to be stuck at 190 and am eating everything in site.
one comment i have is are you lifts going up, during every week i could add a little more weight or a couple more reps, have you noticed this? Are you eating clean? drink alot water? beer? how old are you?
HW
Yes, the one thing I’ve noticed is that I am getting steady strength gains in almost all of the exercises.
I eat 100% clean, I might have cheated about 2 or 3 times in the past 6 weeks. I drink a gallon to a gallon and a half of water a day, and I’ve sacrificed alcohol for the past 8 or 9 months because of my goals.
I’m 19 years old.

If your strength is going up you are gaining muscle, sometimes though it is not as fast as we like. just remember that if it was quick or easy everybody would be doing it, are you sore the next day? I am sore 24 to 48 hours after every workout, I am very happy with the results but didnt start noticing them till 1/2 to 3/4 way throught the first 12 weeks.
At the end of the sets are you close to failure?
HW[/quote]
I like the old school “1 rep before failure” method, so yes I am close to failure. I am also usually sore, not as sore as the first week or two, but I’m still sore the day after almost every workout (especially leg day, haha).
I also know that It’s still early and it takes time to build, but the fat came much quicker and was much more noticable than any mass gains I’ve made, and as an FFB it scared the ba-jesus outta me. Thanks for your help HW.
