Superhero Hangout

Just completed week 4. This is the third time using this program I love it
Gains are great had a woman comment on my arm size “man your arms are getting bigger” and a totally different woman comment on the way i fill out a pair of jeans, by far the best program i have ever been on. highly recommened. arms are 16, 1/8 pumped height 5’7" weight 184 lbs. chest 43"

I just cant seem to break the 190 i have been eating like mad but i seem to be stuck around 185. looking for idears to gain weight i even added in some junk. just dont want to add to much.

I ran across this article and it sounds great. I pmed CT to ask him some questions, but Have not got an answer so maybe you guys can help. I want to improve my body composition(lose fat and retain or even gain muscle) is there any way I can do this on this program. I am 6’1 195lbs 12-13% bf.

My RMR is 2100-2200 Kcal. So I was thinking that if I ate 2200 kcal using the t-dawg diet plus some cardio this program would benefit me. What do you guys think.

If 2200 kcal is just your RMR, you also have to factor in caloric expenditure from exercise and whatever else you do during the day.

I don’t however see the point in using a specialization program for fat loss, there are plenty of other great fat loss routines you can find on this site. I would suggest trying one of those instead.

-dizzle

I know that I would have to factor in my energy expenditure. That is why I would only eat my RMR so that the activity I do goes to fat burning. If I ate below RMR I think it would use more muscle.

What specific fat loss routines do you guys suggest?
I liked CT’s destroying fat program (a.k.a. hypermetabolism).

If you put 100% effort into it, it will pay dividends like mad.

Are you referring to my workout today? If so, it kicked ass, although I forgot to do abs:( I haven’t done an ab day in about a year and a half. I’m trying to figure out a spot I can fit in cleans as well.

The 1x100 side lateral raises were killer. I had to stop every 30-35 reps or so and I was only using 10lb DBs. I’m eating plenty, supplementing correctly, and I can’t wait to see what kind of gains I get from this program.

I’ll take some pics and measurements and start a thread logging my progress, too.

Hi guys, just started the program yesterday.
The first workout was brutal, and I woke up today feeling hideously sore.

Today’s leg workout… evil.

A-Dizz, how is the program coming along?

It’s alright, but I keep forgetting to do abs at the end, I only did them once this week. It’s so much volume if you include them too, I really hate doing it. I think CT included them in the program purely to coincide with the idea that this routine is for an actor that needs to look good for an upcoming role anyway.

Today was Shoulders Heavy/Traps Conjugate, and I replaced the military press at the end with clean and presses (5x5). I have a problem with cleans though: whenever I go real heavy with them, it’s hard for me to turn my wrists all the way out and get the bar on the tips of my fingers. I’m very inflexible to begin with, let alone when I’ve got heavy weight on my wrists. Is this a big concern?

Yes, leg day is a bitch. I really don’t like the program as a whole to tell you the truth. I don’t like leg day, I don’t like the abs workouts, I don’t like the volume, I don’t like the 100 rep sets, and I don’t like the way the supersets are set up.

Regardless, I’ve committed to it and I refuse to quit anything. I’m going to train as hard as I can and eat as much as I can, and hopefully I’ll have results to show for it when I’m done.

Highway, do you before and after pics/stats?

-dizzle

no hard stats but i am into the program for 6 weeks and on average I get 1 comment on my arms a day. And have various compliments from women. I am eating as much as i can and i have gained a little fat also but feel that i am below 14 %, i figured that i would bulk while i was doing this program, I didn’t the last two times and had great results , but i want to get bigger, so lets gain a little fat and a lot of muscle.,

I think anyone who takes this program seriously will be pleased with the results, last night after a good pump i broke 16 3/8 inches arms still small by some standards but ok for me, I am however conserened that my arms are going to get bigger than my legs, so next leg day i am going to give it 130 % and stay till i cant hardly move.

How is the program working for you?
HW

Well I haven’t kept any official measurements except for my weight (because I’m retarded).

I’m only two and a half weeks into it so I can’t say if it’s working well or not. I feel like it’s not, but logically it has to be.

I eat as much as I possibly can all day long, I train like a wild beast, and I’m sleeping and supplementing very well. My nickname at work is “Ed” because they say I eat like a horse.

I’m also working as a chef so I eat anything and everything I want all day long. Use your imagination.

Again, I’m not even 3 weeks in yet, but as far as I can tell all I’ve gained is fat, and I eat 99% clean. Logistically, I have to be gaining, but I just don’t see it yet.

If this program doesn’t work, I’m going to either a) isolate myself in a basement gym in the middle of nowhere and eat sleep and train until I kill myself, or b) just kill myself.

So I’m half way through week 5 (Phase II, Week 1). I think my biceps have gotten bigger, but after finishing phase 1 I haven’t noticed any size gain in my shoulders. I eat a shit load, take my BCAAs and Surge, and get plenty of sleep at night plus a nap almost every day.

I haven’t noticed the tremendous gains everyone tauted about when they did this program, but I have noticed fat gain.

I just don’t think my body responds very well to anything. When I was cutting last spring, I was EXTREMELY maticulous with my diet and training, I never went out at night so I could rest, and I followed a CT cutting program to the absolute T. Still, I lost more muscle than anything, and my fat loss was slow/stagnant at best. Now I train hard as hell, eat a lot of clean food, and sleep as often as possible and all I seem to gain is fat.

I sound like a bitch but it’s frustrating as hell. Still, I will continue to train hard and hopefully the gains will come.

Does anyone have before/after pics or stats from when they did this?

Sorry to hear that the gains are not as good as you expected, just last week someone commented on my build " you have quite a nice build there you must lift" i have never had these comments before i did this program i will admit that it is the third time.

but i feel that my shoulders
arms and chest have grown, although my weigh has stayed within a couple of pounds, i am trying to reach 200 but seem to be stuck at 190 and am eating everything in site.

one comment i have is are you lifts going up, during every week i could add a little more weight or a couple more reps, have you noticed this? Are you eating clean? drink alot water? beer? how old are you?

Yes, the one thing I’ve noticed is that I am getting steady strength gains in almost all of the exercises.

I eat 100% clean, I might have cheated about 2 or 3 times in the past 6 weeks. I drink a gallon to a gallon and a half of water a day, and I’ve sacrificed alcohol for the past 8 or 9 months because of my goals.

I’m 19 years old.

If your strength is going up you are gaining muscle, sometimes though it is not as fast as we like. just remember that if it was quick or easy everybody would be doing it, are you sore the next day? I am sore 24 to 48 hours after every workout, I am very happy with the results but didnt start noticing them till 1/2 to 3/4 way throught the first 12 weeks.
At the end of the sets are you close to failure?

I like the old school “1 rep before failure” method, so yes I am close to failure. I am also usually sore, not as sore as the first week or two, but I’m still sore the day after almost every workout (especially leg day, haha).

I also know that It’s still early and it takes time to build, but the fat came much quicker and was much more noticable than any mass gains I’ve made, and as an FFB it scared the ba-jesus outta me. Thanks for your help HW.

about to start this will report back on here as i progress. ill try and list percentage increases in lifts from week to week as well and visual differences i experience. will be starting on the 11th.

New to this program and similar programs like this so I had a question.

When the exercises are setup like this:

Example:

A1. Squat
A2. RDL

That means it’s a superset correct?

Wanted to clear that up.

Also one more question…

What can I replace the Rear Delt Machine and Leg Curl exercises with? I don’t have access to either machine.
scream wrote:

rear delt machine can be substitiued with bent over raises
