Superfood is, Well, Super!

yuck on mixing Superfood with Surge :frowning:

It wasn’t horrible, but doesn’t lead me to want to drink Surge with it (normally I can’t wait to drink the stuff).

looks like I’ll have to find another beverage to mix it in.
Which flavor did you use?

chocolate

Supplementing with Superfood is not the same as actually eating fruits and veggies, Superfood contains no fiber. Just as taking a multivitamin isn’t a sub for acutally getting vitamins and minerals from food, Superfood can’t replace fruits/veggies.

To each his own, I suppose. I use half a serving of Superfood with my chocolate Surge and I like it. It’s not my favorite thing, but I don’t have any problems with the flavor.

Did you really think we were all unaware of this?

However, I’m pretty sure TC would disagree with you about Superfood not replacing fruits/veggies. Superfood IS fruits and veggies. This was discussed in the Superfood thread:

This stuff is AWESOME!

Besides Spike and HOT-ROX, I can’t say I’ve ever really noticed such an immediate effect to a supplement I’ve tried. I feel more alert and slightly more energetic after taking Superfood. I’ve been sleep deprived for a long time now, so I know it ain’t my rest doing it.

I was not expecting anything like that at all when I tried it the first time. Took me by surprise. I also stopped taking my multi when I started this, and feel better anyway.

I now will consider this a staple. As far as I’m concerned this is just as necessary as protein powder and fish oil.

I definitely “feel” Superfood. Feel a lot better. The flu has ravaged our household over the past month, myself and one of my sons are the only ones to use Superfood religiously and we are the only ones to not get sick, coincidence? I keep telling my wife and other kids to use it, but they will only drink one on occasion, and they do feel a bit of pep from it.

Oh please. So what’s been said about Superfood is untrue because TC is trying to sell it? Despite the ingredients, you still say it’s not food?

What’s your goal here? To bash Biotest or to call us all idiots for using Superfood?

Boy, I wished I could say I get the energy rush like a few of you guys get. I gave up my multi to try, but I am only taking one scoop in a.m. with the rest of my vitamins. I originally started with two scoops, but backed down to 1 scoop to try to stretch my budget. My verdict is still out, but I do think it is a bit over priced. I think if price was a little lower, I would have probably bought another one by now. I am suffering from bronchitis right now and haven’t seen much change with it.

Thanks for all your feed back.

overpriced?
I don’t see how, yes it’s not cheap, but buying fruits is crazy expensive.
it’s much cheaper with Superfood

Anybody using Superfood on the Anabolic Diet/CKD? I’m thinking of getting some to get more of the nutrients that I’m not getting from fruits while on the AD.

How would it count in terms of grams of carbs?

damn it, that shocked me.

I looked it up, one serving has only 5g, there cannot be to many carbs in there.

Never, ever, insinuate again that there could be hidden carbs in my diet.

It’s been posted a few times before that Superfood contains no significant calories.

yeah, wouldn’t want any pesky food messing things up

Oh alright, throw in a hefty bowl of oatmeal…but I do like that yogurt idea too.
So, you mix it with water or milk?

I wouldn’t call it an “energy rush”. More like a feeling of “well being”. Definitely more energy, but it’s more subtle, you just feel better.

Neither actually. My goal is to prevent people from using this powder as a crutch instead of actually eating real fruits and veggies. To use it as a supplement in cases where you don’t have access to actual fruits/veggies I can see, but to actually use it as a replacement is not wise.

I was skeptical. My old man swears by the stuff. After much argument, he made me take one of his cans. “If you think it’s good, just order me another one.”

I like the stuff.

It tastes better than Greens+ (even berry greens), that’s for damn sure.

The ORAC is off the charts.

I put 1/2 serving in a bottle of way before doing cardio. When on a fat loss diet, your body releases toxins into your system - stuff like DDT and things that haven’t even been used for decades are stored in your fat. Google around for the studies if you don’t believe me.

So imho some product like is a must-have when dieting.

I still eat a lot of veggies every day.

It is no replacement for veggies. There is more to veggies than phytonutrients. There’s fiber. There’s food volume (so you’re not as full). Plus, we never quite konw what our bodies need, so it’s always advisable to eat a wide variety of berries and veggies.

For me, Superfood just adds to the variety.

As far as people “feeling it.” That’s pretty silly, actually. There’s nothing in it that would cause an immediate hormonal or neurological response. The only thing you’re “feeling” is your imagination.

After a month, if you weren’t eating veggies before, you should feel better in subtle ways, e.g., your joints might not hurt as much; you might not get sick as easily, etc.

In the long term is when you notice stuff like this. And you don’t really notice it per se. You just all of the sudden stop noticing aches and pains - because they are not there since your body is getting nourishment it needs to fight inflammation and repair your system.

I feel a slight rush 15-20 min after taking it.

What can I say, I´m stupid.
