What’s the ideal foot position for a sumo deadlift, should feet be pointing straight ahead or at an angle outwards?
I believe it should be a straight line down your leg, i.e. if your were to squat down, your knee should be aligned with your toes. That’s how I do, anyway.
The ideal foot position is the one that you can lift more with…this is an individual thing. Experiment and find out for yourself which works best for you.
I turn my toes out to get my hips as close to the bar as possible. I have tried toes straight, but that puts to much strain on my knees (lateral).
i pull conventional…but the lifters at my gym that pull sumo point their toes out…
i point my toes out…works better for me
Toes out…spread the floor.

toes out, spread the floor, and make sure you drive your knees out too. don’t let them come inside your toes.
