On the one hand this combo gave me “safe” and loaded bad ass lifts I needed and a great “feeling” in the target muscles despite the fact its compound. Although I’m short, I feel like a natural sumo puller too.
But on the other I haven’t really concentrated on legs (I even skip legs if it conflicts with an upper day) and I’ve been cutting the last 7 weeks. So there hasn’t been hypertrophy or real strength gains in the lower body.
I’ll still be experimenting through the spring.
