Thanks.
I know I made one of these already, but I want to review a suit
Best raw squat: 405
Gear being reviewed: Metal Viking IPF squatter
Pros. Awesome rebound, and it give good carryover in just the suit. You can also squat wide or narow with it. Takes me about 5 minutes to get on with just the suit and leg sliders.
Cons: gotta sit back HARD or else youāre fucked. It is very tough to get my single ply breifs on with the suit and I dont know If Ill be able to get down in it w/ the straps up.

How did you find the sizing on the suit? Iām looking into getting a regular stance Metal IPF squatter. Iāve heard to go a size over than what the chart recommends. The chart puts me at a 48, should I go for the 50?
Anyone?

the briefs by themselves have a ton more pop than the Ace and a little less stopping power so they are still pretty easy to hit depth in⦠the 3-ply briefs weigh a ton and are a bear to put on, but the results seem well worth itā¦

Stats: 25, 181āer, 3 meets and a few years training
Best Lifts: 550 gym squat, 455 meet squat, 555 pull
Gear Experience: Inzer Leviathan, Titan Centurion, various metal briefs
Equipment being reviewed: Inzer Leviathan
Leviathan Pros: Ridiculous stopping power and a whole lot of rebound. I got my Leviathan in a trade for an Ace suit, so I really didnt know what the sizing would be or anything. Fortunately, the suit fit perfectly. Very tight, but I could use an old single ply suit underneath for some extra rebound.
This suit WILL lock up real hard. Getting depth is a real struggle. Prior to putting this on, I had not really handled weights above 500, so I didnt really know what to expect. But 550 unracked easily and absolutely rocketed up, and I hadnt even put the straps up yet! If you are a good box squatter, this suit will take you far.
Leviathan Cons: Hard to get on, even harder to get off! Takes a lot of weight to get depth.
I plan to compete in powerlifting and have heard a lot of great things about metal gear. Specifically the metal ipf bencher and metal ipf v-type squatter.I am completely new to shirts/suits. would this gear be too advanced for someone new? do people get much carryover from a deadlift suit? (stats : 5ā6 165 bench:255;squat : 345;deadlift 365)Thanks

No problem crash crew (aka FUPA): Yes I have pretty much used every piece of gear out there so I do have some experience.
Stats: 36yrs 5ā9 212 lbs.
Best Lifts: 660 squat 370 bench 645 deadlift IPA lifter
Gear Experience: single ply inzer Z suit, metal king V-type squatter, metal king sumo deadlifter⦠2-ply breifs titan boss, metal vikings⦠2-ply suit metal pro squatter
Equipment being reviewed: Metal pro squatter
Pros: great suit tough strong super pop out of the hole works great if you train speed squats with a low box feels great on my hips and its super easy to use no real learning curve just a straight hardcore suit for big numbers
Cons: If you donāt train to sit back or your weak at the top of your lockout this isnāt the suit for you
Comparison: compared to the king suit itās just a lot more suit and wonāt stretch out as fast but pretty much the same suit in terms of use
Thoughts: Donāt get this suit until you train on squatting deep⦠if not it will be hard for you to get good depth in this suit cause it locks up on you about parallel so take a deep breath and sit back
Gear being Reviewed.
Inzer Predator Briefs.
Pros: AWESOME Pop and great stopping power. I got mine grid stitched so I have even more stopping power than regular. I can get to depth with around 400, and that flies up. They are also run bigger in the legs so I have no problem getting them over my quads, unlike some brands.
CONS: Like all poly gear, it stretches out and is not as tight after a training cycle. It took me 30 mins to get them on even after my training partner who is 20 pounds lighter broke them in for me, so they are tight.
I would suggest you try a single layer TRX squat suit before these briefs, the briefs have alot of stopping power and will throw you forward if you arent used to tight gear, and the TRX is the same material as the predators, so you know how they feel.
Overall great briefs, will definitely buy another pair in the future!
Inzer Review
Stats- 755 Sq @ 245lbs, 18 y/o, ten weeks after breaking my ankle.
Gear Experience- Old Centurion (NXG+), New Centurion Briefs(NXG super +), Super Centurion (NXG super plus), Metal Pro Briefs, Metal ACE Suit, Karins Double Denim Suit, Inzer Z suit, Metal ACE briefs, Inzer Predator Briefs, 2-ply OK Poly Suit
Equipment being reviewed: Inzer Predator Briefs
Pros: Easy to hit depth in, even tight. Far easier than the single ply Titan Centurion Briefs. Good pop. Easy to get on and off because of the lower leg flare.
Cons: No stop at the bottom. Decent support, but I never really felt supported enough. My centurion briefs had more support.
Comparison: Centurion briefs are just as good, and the new ACE briefs I have kick everythings ass.
Thoughts: I think this could be a good brief for under canvas when you really just want some addition pop. That is what most of the top guys are doing it seems like. For an all poly combo, wouldnāt be my pick.
Stats- 755 Sq @ 245lbs, 18 y/o, ten weeks after breaking my ankle.
Gear Experience- Old Centurion (NXG+), New Centurion Briefs(NXG super +), Super Centurion (NXG super plus), Metal Pro Briefs, Metal ACE Suit, Karins Double Denim Suit, Inzer Z suit, Metal ACE briefs, Inzer Predator Briefs, 2-ply OK Poly Suit
Equipment being reviewed: Super Centurion / Centurion Brief combo
Pros: SPF allows single ply briefs, under a single ply suit, and considers it single ply. So this combo can be single ply in some feds. Besides that, outstanding support, and tons of POP. Definitely the best single ply gear out there, and put it together and they kick ass. I probably was getting close to 300-325lbs of carryover, easily, from this combo, at the time I was using it.
Cons: To get the kind of carryover I had, you canāt just get into a snug combo, and do it overnight. You have to wear it so tight you can BARELY get it on and off, with suit slippers. I was bleeding under it. Not the general bruising. I mean I have blood stains inside my centurion briefs from rubbing the skin off my hips and legs.
Comparison: The super centurion gave me the same kind of carryover I got from the ACE suit, and the centurion briefs are at least as good as the preds, maybe better. The super centurion is probably close to what I get from the OK suit.
Thoughts: The best single ply gear available. No I have not had experience with other single ply gear, aside from other titan gear, but when the single ply gear I have keeps up/outperforms multi ply gear like predator briefs, and ACE suit, do I really need to?
Stats- 755 Sq @ 245lbs, 18 y/o, ten weeks after breaking my ankle.
Gear Experience- Old Centurion (NXG+), New Centurion Briefs(NXG super +), Super Centurion (NXG super plus), Metal Pro Briefs, Metal ACE Suit, Karins Double Denim Suit, Inzer Z suit, Metal ACE briefs, Inzer Predator Briefs, 2-ply OK Poly Suit
Equipment being reviewed: 2-ply OK suit
Pros- Flexible enough even beginners in multi ply can hit depth. TONS of pop. I canāt get over how much pop this has. Feels like you are shot out of the bottom. Also it is flexible enough to use on deadlifts. I was getting close to 130lbs of carryover from this, easily, on deads. Straps donāt pull you over, and you can jack them if you are good in gear.
Cons- Not a ton of support in the hole. Feels like there is no bottom. Canāt really bounce against this. Way too stretchy if you have a OK, pred combo.
Comparison- Pop is better than the ACE, or the super centurion. Stopping power is low, lower than centurion. ACE stops you compared to this.
Thoughts- Good squat suit, but I would suggest 3-ply for more experienced lifters, and for people squatting decent weight. Awesome deadlift suit though
Gear Experience- Old Centurion (NXG+), New Centurion Briefs(NXG super +), Super Centurion (NXG super plus), Metal Pro Briefs, Metal ACE Suit, Karins Double Denim Suit, Inzer Z suit, Metal ACE briefs, Inzer Predator Briefs, 2-ply OK Poly Suit
Equipment being reviewed: Metal ACE suit
Pros: Good pop, Good support, Good stop
Cons: Canāt jack the straps unless you are a freak. The straps need to be altered for most, because they are super thick, and super wide. Hard to hit depth. I sat there at the bottom with 745, and it wasnāt going anywhere. Maybe there was some key I was missing, tried folding up legs, ect to make depth easier, but sucked for me.
Comparison: No better carryover than super centurion for me. Depth was nearly impossible for me.
Thought: May be good for a big squatter, or a more experienced gear whore.
Gear Experience- Old Centurion (NXG+), New Centurion Briefs(NXG super +), Super Centurion (NXG super plus), Metal Pro Briefs, Metal ACE Suit, Karins Double Denim Suit, Inzer Z suit, Metal ACE briefs, Inzer Predator Briefs, 2-ply OK Poly Suit
Equipment being reviewed: Metal ACE briefs
Pros: Big time stopping power compared to other briefs I have used. Unreal pop.
Cons: depth is hard, 605 for 3 reps trying to break them in, and was stopped about 2-3 inches high.
Comparison: Once they are broken in, I firmly believe they will be the best briefs on the market.
Thoughts: Should be for advanced lifters only.
can somebody do a review for the inzer TRX? i cant find a review anywhere for that thing!
Stats:

Gear Experience:
None - my first squat suit
Equipment being reviewed:
Titan Centurion Wide Stance (IPF Single Ply) Size 46
Pros:
Feels awesome, very predictable support. As this is my first suit, I was worried about the characteristics of squatting in a suit - but this suit allowed me to follow my exact squat motion and simply raised my weights. I found that hitting depth wasnt much of a problem, and I feel much more confident in the hole than when I squat raw. Squatting with 495 in the suit feels more stable than 395 raw.
I was also worried about getting into the suit alone, but I can get the suit on and be ready to go in less than 5 minutes (I did buy the suit loose though).
Cons:
The straps are really loose - but this isnāt really a negative. Itās better to have too much than not enough - Iāll just have to get them taken in.
Comparison:
None - my first suit.
Thoughts:
Very happy with the Centurion. I read and re-read all of the reviews on here, and it didnāt disappoint. Itās a great suit for a beginner to learn in, but performs well enough that itāll keep you competitive. I recently did an IPF meet, and the centurion/super centurion outnumbered everything else 10/1.
Stats 47 y/o 280lbs. 6ā2"
Best Lifts: 804lb. Squat, 451lb. Bench Press 683lb. Deadlift
Gear Experience: Inzer, Titan
Equipment being reviewed: Inzer T-Rex
Pros: When straps are tight you get great pop out of the hole. Easy on, easy off. Itās comfortable when itās on. I wear it with predator briefs and itās a good combination.
Cons: None to date
Comparison: My other experience is with the Inzer Leviathan. The Leviathan has great stopping power and pop out of the hole but itās hard to get in and uncomfortable. Lifting in the T-Rex is like lifting in pajamas compared to the Leviathan.
Thoughts: Iād highly recommend it to an experienced lifter.
Stats: 47y/o 6ā2" 280lbs.
Best Lifts: Squat 804lbs, Bench Press 451lbs, Deadlift 700lbs
Gear Experience: Inzer, Titan, Frantz
Equipment being reviewed: Inzer Fusion Deadlift Suit
Pros: Pop off the floor is great. Easy on, easy off. Breathing while in the hole is fine. Good and firm in the hips.
Cons: Once the straps are tight it can be hard to get down to the bar. I developed a technique to bypass that.
Comparison: I hated the Inzer Max DL. I felt it was very uncomfortable and did nothing for me. The Fusion gets it right. Usually, my lifts are 30-40lbs lifter during training than they are in competition. Therefore, if the Fusion is allowing me to pull 680 & 700lbs during training Iām expecting big things at my next meet.
Thoughts: Itās a must have in your arsenal if youāre a geared lifter and the deadlift is your lift.
Hey guys still new to powerlifting but im just confused, why would a guy want to use a canvas suit? it stops you in the hole? but wouldnt you rather get some pop coming out of the hole? if you have a poly suit dialed in and the straps tight enough a poly suit would still stop you in the hole wouldnt it? i have a metal ace pro squatter and ace briefs and have no problem stopping in the hole? or am i totally missing the point? any input would be greatly appreciated!

Gear Experience: I started out using Titan centurion but have been using metal gear for 5 years. Iāve tried several other different suit from Inzerās line( t-rex, champion)
Equipment being reviewed: metal pro squatter and metal ace briefs (both multiply)
Pros: The briefs give a lot of support throughout the lift with lots of pop off the bottom. Even my 4 year old briefs still feel good. They donāt tear up your hips much, some red lines at the pinch points but nothing like inzer or titanās stuff. I use them for both squats and sumo deads ( my stance is the same for both).
The pro squatter is awesome. It was my first NEW squat suit in 6 years of lifting. The suit is easy to learn and squat in. Just sit back and the almost suit catches you at the bottom. Your legs are pushed out into the correct position and there is lots of rebound out of the hole.
It doesnāt have velcro which wasnāt a problem, just needed a little help getting the straps up.
Even though I wear ālooseā gear, the support and performance makes using them a breeze.
The two combined are an excellent combo for a intermediate lifter.
Cons: cost is the only negative with metal gear. The stuff is a budget buster fortunately they have lots of sale
Comparison: Itās been a long time since Iāve tried Inzerās stuff and the only reason I donāt is how it tears up your legs and hips when you use them especially if they are very tight. Besides, Iāve found something that works well, why mess with it.
Thoughts: Despite using gear that is a size too big, I still get tremendous support from it and about 150 lbs out of it. For a novice lifter, the squatter is a great suit, easy to learn and will last a long time. Also very good for sumo deadlifters.
The only hook is the price, wait for sales, check ebay or PL watch classifieds for used ones.
For reference I used a size 40 brief and 48 squatter @ 185
hips - 40
waist - 37
thighs - 24
hope that helps
