I had someone tell me I’ll never ever get over 200 (well on my way). Fuck that I will make it past 200 and then some.
People have told me eating lbs of animal protein a day will kill me and eating more than 8 eggs a day would fuck up my cholestrol. I always get my bloodwork done every year as requirement to get a cheaper insurance premium. Everything comes back optimal even above average, doc says keep it up.
People say shit about my training and how I eat. I just tell them this is an investment in me. You invest in your ciggarettes and weekend drinking binges all you want and see where that gets you.
yea i love it when someone tells you that eating too much protein or working out too much is unhealthy, as they take a drag from their ciggarette…
Problem: I have friends telling me that “synthetic food” (they refer to protein powder) is going to ruin my kidneys.
Solution: Everytime I eat with them, I eat an lb of steak, chicken, fish or similar food. When they are loading stuff on to their own plates, I tell them “You cant eat over 3oz of any meats!! Are you crazy!? Think about your kidneys!!”

was just discussing with my mate about the stupidest things people say like:
‘i dont lift heavy cos i dont wanna get to big’
‘i wanna get skinny but i really dont like exercise’
‘high reps are good for definition’
etc.
any others?
side note: anyone know about icecream and post-workout nutrition, i remember reading it on here somewhere, cos a guy comes into my work and orders two icecreams after his gym session and i think its really retarded but he doesnt get it… anyone know the link, i swear i read it on here.
I don’t think that’s retarded at all. Ice cream is loaded with carbs that the mind/body craves for after a nice workout. Add a glutamine+whey shake to that, and yer good to go.

right on the money. i do quite a bit of cardio when im trying to lose excess fat. works every time. to all those so-called experts out there saying you dont need cardio, and how high rep workouts do the job…i say boulll sheeetth! they are oall gurleyy men!

“Dude, if you’re still jerking off during the week you should’nt do a forearm workout or you’ll overtrain!”
ha ha harh…i say dont jerk off at all during the week, it effects recovery. go right ahead and indulge over the weekend, when you know you don’t have to lift weights the next day. however some people, say it doesnt effect them at all.
well they are sometimes:D, try pushing what are heavy weights for you to failure for sets with no partner. I don’t feel inclined to take some random persons gym time when working out for a spot on barbell movements. Would make me feel like an asshole.
I took a girl out once to the gym I said were going to doing some weight training she then turns to say
“I just want to get toned, I’ll just be upstairs and do cardio the whole time”
LOL I was like “hell no” you aren’t sneakin out of this. A) you’re weak and have a good amount of fat B)Cardio will not bring out any “tone” cause you don’t have no freakin’ muscle.
Girl says “Bench Press will make my boobs bigger…I don’t want that”
I say “What’s wrong with that?”
Just kidding I didn’t say that I would have got slapped. Women think they will put on muscle mass like guys would if they do the same exercises as them, drives me nuts!
EDIT: And somehow they think their boobs have muscle in them

FWIW, my chest has changed significantly since I started benching heavy. I have tit-on-pec now, and you can see it in the right light. My husband has said it can be disconcerting to feel the muscle flex under his hand during certain times.

Well I should have been more specific as is their boobs directly as in going from a C cup to a D cup. My gf has a “tit-on-pec” as well and when she flexes you can see the definition of her pectoral laterally to her breast(s). It doesn’t bother me lol.

I’m a huge fan of tit-on-pec. Not disconcerting in the least!

“Dude, I’m not taking protein and creatine at the same time! I don’t want all that shit in my body!”
Hmmm… sounds like somebody who is extremely suspicious of the suplement industry. I don’t see how that makes him or her stupid? I have read a lot of labels for protein powder that had stuff in it that made me not buy it because I don’t want that shit in my body.
