What’s the point of lifting weights if your not trying to get big or bigger? Isn’t that the whole point?
Dude! They just wanna TONE!
Small stupid dude: Watz that shitz in yuz kitchen.
Big Guy: A bottle of creatine
SSD: Creatinez!!! You take that shitz?
Big Guy: Yes… [?]
SSD: YOUR PENIS MUST BE TOTALLY SHRUKEN BY NOW!!!
“I’m up to 500 crunches/day, my goal is to have a six pack by summer.”
“Do you workout?”
“I do all my workouts on the elliptical, because I just want to tone.”
I have a crazy ass retarded cousin who told me once that benching 1 pound for 1000 reps is “better” than 1000 pounds for 1. He also told me I was cheating when I was doing deadlifts because I wasn’t using my biceps. He went balls when I told him to try and use his own biceps to lift the bar…
He came up with many nuggets outside of lifting too, such as “is 1 odds or even?”, and “I want to hammer nails!” when asked about his career goals.
I wasn’t surprised when I caught the bastard trying to steal my car LOL.

I feel it in my traps when I dip…Is this weird?
Not sure…maybe you should work on your mind-muscle connection. Really focus on your triceps and chest when you do them. I can only feel my triceps, but maybe that’s cuz that’s all i’m focusing on.
But regardless, dips will not give you BIG traps, as in they aren’t the single most influential exercise that will increase trap size

Or, perhaps your understanding of how the Pros actually get big, and/or train is incorrect and has been twisted by reading too many articles.
Along those lines and in keeping with the original idea of this thread, how about:
"If you want to get really big and muscular, don’t do what the big muscular people do. Why would you want to model the behavior of other successful people?
Instead, try [insert fad workout of the month] which has never produced any noteable physiques, but has lots of twenty dollar words in the explanation, and will require a scientific calculator, stop watch, and metronome for you to complete; so it must work."
LOL
I put two scoops of protein and carbs into a shake.
My mate replies “why did you put more than 20g of protein in that shake, you’ll piss the rest out so why waste it”
sigh and head shake
Last night I heard…
“What powder can I take to make me big?”
my training partner replied, “powdered milk” -lol

“Bodybuilding is 80% nutrition.”
According to this line of thinking, I would look pretty darn awesome, compared to the rest of the population, if all I did was have adequate nutrition.
i remember someone else on this site they heard this
“id be a powerlifter if i was Hatian”
it just always stuck w/ me
“So dude, are you on protein?”
Uhhh…are you kidding me?!
It’s a mix of attitude and quotes but I love hearing the weight loss fads/pills/hypnosis/magical belts/clothing that hides your fat ass say something like:
“You just CAN’T lose weight and gain muscle by diet and exercise alone!”
“You’ll eventually revert to your old ways, and you’ll end up fatter than before you tried diet and exercise, it’s PROVEN”
“Who wants to spend hours doing crunches to get that six pack?”
I’ve had this conversation too at one point earlier last year.
Buddy: “So do you take creatine or anything?”
Me: I’ve never tried creatine, just whey protein"
Buddy: “Ah good, so you’re still natural”
“you have to cycle off creatine or you’ll get bitch tits”
wait, what about the people who can literally talk on their phone or are reading while they navigate to each machine? It aint a quote but its a rant.
My personal given to me. “Dude my becieps gotta be bigger than yours, i got this big vein and you dont.” (persists to squeeze his armpit and make it come out some) 17 year old hollister kid who lifts in his school clothss
“LOOK THIS GYM ROCKS! CHECK THAT RACK DUDE ITS PERFECT FOR CURLS, THATS GOTTA BE WHAT ITS MADE FOR”
its a Patrick Bateman love fest in here.
Yeah I hear that all the time, “I don’t want to lift weights,I don’t want to get big”. Like lifting with some intensity is going to add on 20 lbs of mass in a month.
Maybe this video fits in here nicely?
Have you guys seen the commercial for ‘Fullbar’?
I’m not sure if it counts, exactly, but it pisses me off.
A lot.
“You cant digest more than 30g of protein in any one meal.”
“I gotta be careful, I tend to get too big too fast”
