loading over the bar became a huge issue because my ‘spotter’ wasn’t here to guide the stone over the bar and keep it in the tire, so they just rolled out and caught hell coming out the tire going like 10 mph. I had to chase em and it was too much of a hassle to deal with, so i switched to stone squats.

Just wanna say, I load almost exclusively without sleeves/tape, and this shit really fucking killed today. I dunno why but it was more excruitating then usual and on each lap and load over bar I was just screaming bloody murder and kicking my yoke out of angst through pain. Neighbors probably were appalled, mainly cause I was doing this on Christmas morning, and null and void of holiday spirit.

Inspiring stone lifting. I went to Home Depot the other day to get all the stuff I needed to make a 20" stone. After about 5 minutes though I ended up ordering a Slater mold from my phone. Lower back is tight as fuck from wednesdays training, legs are feeling better though since last yoke sessions. I know yoke is something I need to be fresh and healthy for to hit anything reasonable. Gonna give it hell!

720x120’ huge PR, I made it 60 feet without a single drop! The first half was fast, the second half of the run was just brutal. I think I dropped it 3-4 times, mostly clustered toward the end. My legs just had nothing left, but this is 10lbs over contest weight, and I managed to exceed contest distance which is extraordinary for me.

Gonna hit up some medley work later on, probably sandbag/tire runs.

120/hand x ~1 mile. This sucked balls, but I had committed and had no choice but to finish. This was a real gut check as well as a kick to my conditioning. All was well until my grip started to fail towards maybe 3/4 way done.
