lol

That is the fuckin coolest overhead vid I’ve ever seen.

Decided I will take the remainder of the week off to prevent any injury. Saturday was an arduous session, and it really mimicked an entire competitions worth of volume/intensity. Today took loads of caffeine and apeshit amounts of intensity just to hit a reasonable strict press number. Going to start fresh next week and peak slowly with my event training.

Also purchased some stone molds for my home. I can’t train with the stones at my old gym for a plethora of reasons. One of the reasons being they’re extremely dirty and have to stay outside (as stated by the gym owner). Every time I tacky up, I’m COVERED with caked-on dirt and it takes an hour just to get the shit off me and out of my finger nails. I’m making a 175-180, 240-250, and a 305-310. I’ll probably add in some more later on but I legit cannot fit anymore and I kind of have to share this fucking garage so whoopie!

One arm BB snatch
135x1
145x1
155x0 snatch, 1 press, 0

In that mood where I’m boiling over with rage of my deadlift and how boyish it is. Feeling like I’m losing my intensity with the lift and going blank. Had decided to stop training it because of my contest and prioritizing that, but I just can’t lol. I HAVE to deadlift and I HAVE to progress because I know if I postpone it any longer, I’m gonna lose my fucking mind.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHYEAAAAH.

LOL amazing

275x8

always a struggle to not lose my head over my deadlift workouts. going to force my deadlift to grow through arduously volumous workouts.

Damn dude, those overhead vids are great!

brb hardening the fuck up, lol

I took about 3 hours of my time to construct a 12 week program of training and contest prep for the show on the 15th of feb. It incorporates rigorous amounts of volume, tons of peaking and maxing, aswell as a shit load of deloading. I didn’t do it alone…so I can trust it, just gotta be confident in putting in the amount of work through training and diet/recovery. Starts tomorrow!

P.S. HAMSTRINGS AND GLUTES ARE GONE. They’re just decimated. It’s going to take the entirety of this week to heal up so squatting during the week is going to be questionable but we shall see.

BW @230, first time weighing in quite some time.

First day of the training cycle. Had to dig in deep today, albeit not a intensively heavy workout, the volume was THERE. Log form is out of key, but it’s all good. My posterior chain is still mad sore and I really hit the wall today as far as being hydrated and eating ample amounts of food. Work hit me HARD as a mother fucker. Essentially, this week we come in doing a buttload of misc shit because our boss hardly has anything planned for a holiday week. I probably broke my wrist and tore a glute from the excessive labor, but I won’t feel it until tomorrow.

YAYYYYYYYYYYY.

Log (7x5, out of rack)
80x10
180x5
220x5
220x5
220x5

Seated DB military
40x8
60x10
80x8
70x5
60x5,5

Inverted Rows
bw x15,15,15

Sets were tough, but nothing too demanding really. The pace will pick up, and change will come soon, friends.

I have the stiffest fucking neck ever. I must have been doing acrobatics in my sleep. HELP.

You need one of these ghost pals to keep you immobilized while you sleep.

285x5 best set of them all, I found that as the session progressed, the sets fired me up more and the reps felt easier as far as moving the weight, in spite of the brutal pain they elicit.

Maybe there’s no place for this here, but I’m absolutely devastated to hear about Mike Jenkins passing. The last thought I had about the guy was like a month ago about his log pressing ability; just a little thinking session about a not only freakish overhead presser, but a one of a kind ambassador of the sport of strongman. I’m shocked not only of this, but at how hard this is hitting me. Such a gentle giant, and one of the all time greats. This one will stay close to me, real close. :frowning:

RIP Mike

Yeah it surprised the hell out of me.
