Strongman = CrossFit (More or Less)

The problem with cultfit is it’s cultlike qualities. On a national level, their leadership and apostles go postal if anybody in any way questions them or disagrees with them. Their “One True Way” view is pretty arrogant.

Big props to anybody especially a woman who can do a muscle up, but the tiny weights they use and the serious underperformance on a daily basis on the WOD is pretty eye-opening.

One on one the small number of people i actually know who train that way are pretty impressive, but all of them were impressive before they heard of x-fit but none of them are on the sauce(don’t get me started), have tribal tats, run around shirtless, or espouse the merits of pukie or rhabdo. Perhaps even Mr Glassman, who i have traded internet insults with, in person is a cool guy.

Most internet assholes i have met in person turn out to be not assholes. However, folks meeting me should not get their hopes up.

The fact is their is no one true way. You have to train the attributes that you are weakest at and build specific skills for your specific sport.

“Carryover” is never even close to 100% in anything.

I don’t see what the argument is.
