'Strong' Foods?

Contrary to popular belief, I think that the only way to get big AND strong is to eat BIG. I love some of Dave Tate’s articles about food, and have a few favorites myself. So who has a good food to be big and strong with, not the ole’ chicken and rice BS.

What’s wrong with chicken and rice?

moooo…

Who are these people with the “popular opinion”??

Tbh I’d say anyone with any experience under the bar knows this to be true!

the souls of little children

Nothing works better than eating the still-beating hearts of your sworn enemies to acquire their strength.

I’ve never seen anyone on this site say that you can get big and strong any other way. Where is this “popular belief” you speak of? People claiming they don’t want to get big and strong is a whole other matter…

At any rate, steak and eggs, nut butters, and protein powders mixed with heavy whipping cream will always do the trick.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with chicken and rice personally, other than the fact that it’s sinfully boring, bland, and monotonous. But that’s just me. No amount/combination of hot sauces, salsa, pesto, marinades, dressings, etc. will ever change that for me.

If you can eat it every day and you’re getting bigger and stronger from doing so, more power to you.

While I don’t eat it every day, chicken is my favourite meat and most definitely has the effect of making almost anybody bigger and stronger.

I wasn’t denying that, and I personally love chicken. I was speaking of the chicken/rice combination specifically.

What the hell is the OP talking about?

Dude - you’re green, and it’s freaking me out.

I eat an entire bag of oreo’s after every workout. Working my way up to the double stuffs.

Theres been numerous threads on how good cookies are for bulking.

Hurry up and get to the double stuffs…thats the only real way to put on mass.

If you stall out trying throwing a package of peanut butter creme oreos (regular…so as not to gain fat) into your PWO stack with the double stuff.

Tate would be proud.

Oh for me, the food that gets me big and strong is N.O. Explode

it keeps me from exploding

Lift the weights…then when you’re done that eat them!

I probably should clarify…I realize that eating the traditional “bodybuilding” foods in excessive quantities will make you big and strong, but I was looking for more answers like the peanut butter oreos, nut butter shakes, and that stuff. This thread is more in jest than anything and just done for amusement, and hey, maybe I will stumble onto something to pack on some more pounds. My analysis of the old chicken and rice thing is just me being cynical.

For an idea of my intentions, check out Marc Bartley’s article from Elitefts.com about how he got his bodyweight up to 300lbs.
