Dude, what the hell?
You’ve got to be kidding me.

Grow up.

And try reading around this site for a while. You might learn something.

but I was looking for more answers like the peanut butter oreos, nut butter shakes, and that stuff.
Maybe you haven’t read the “what role to cookies play in bulking” thread…

but…we were joking about the oreos…if your looking for more answers like that, then your really just looking for excuses to eat junkfood. Don’t complain when you put on more lard than you’d like and then say “but the bodybuilding website guys told me to eat cookies”…wrong.

GetSwole,

I am capable of determining useful information from garbage, and like I said earlier, this thread is more in jest than anything else. Still, I think it is part of the male primordial psyche to eat vast quantities of food. Not ideal by any means, but respectable none the less. If I choose to eat cookies, or any shitty food, I do so knowing exactly what the outcome will be. If done regularly the scale will move, and the weight gain, like I said earlier, won’t be ideal, but sometimes getting the scale moving, regardless of the means, can lend some momentum to a “bulk”. At any rate, I now train for powerlifting, and it is really a different monster than traditional weightlifting. You have to eat a lot to maintain your strength levels. Thats a fact. And sometimes with a hectic schedule, calorie-dense foods are a necessary evil. I think back to that one thread of Dave Gulledge: http://www.T-Nation.com/tmagnum/readTopic.do?id=699538

To some on this site, and this is not a shot at anyone, they would consider him fat. Now realize I said “some”. Most people that have achieved any respectable level of development realize that a higher body fat level is most usually necessary when gaining a lot of weight. I’ve made the jump from 160# to 200# in about 5.5 months. I am not as lean as I was, but much bigger and stronger. In the end, it is about balance. And most times I can justify eating that cookie.

In the end, you need to learn to rule the information, and not let it rule you. Don’t take any one person’s word as dogma. Its all like Bruce Lee used to say. Take what you can use and leave the rest. And sometimes I will take the cookie.

Sorry for the very long post. Just wanted to clarify my position.

Dbol & Milk

I wasnt saying they shouldn’t be used for bulking, and I certainty wouldn’t condemn you for it. If people want to eat junk food and can do so with making acceptable progress in their eyes, based on how their body reacts, I’m all for it. I just wanted to clarify, sorry if I came off like I was belittling you.

I just wanted to be clear because there seems to be alot of newbies around who will take anything said, even in jest, as a serious suggestion. And I just didn’t want to be responsible for a newbie taking the attitude of “I hate to eat cookies to gain muscle” and that be his gateway to eat whatever he wants.

People can and should eat whatever gets them results they are happy with. I just didn’t want to be an instrument of some newbies failure because they couldn’t tell the difference between joking and solid advice.

So again, sorry I misinterpreted you, I just wanted to clarify, and sorry I came off as a douche.

And Kalle, Vitamin D seems to work wonders for me. I don’t even have to lift, the muscle just builds itself. ;}

lol wait what?!

Dude whats wrong with chicken and rice

my uncle is an Afghani bodybuilder and when he lived in Afghanistan all he ate was chicken, rice, and lamb.

When he came to America, my mom would have to make a huge pot of rice just for him

and when we took him to fast food for the first time he ate 13 Jumbo jacks and said " thats it?, i want more " LOL

Dude is huge.

I have the meal plan at school, I find myself constantly getting two bowls of pasta, then walking to the grill and getting 4 chicken breasts I cut them up and mix them in with the pasta. Wash it down with 2 glasses of whole milk and I have just put down well over 100grams of protein, and a pretty decent carb (not too much fat though, olive oil usually used with the chicken).

I like getting two ham sandwiches and just eating the ham. Bring home to-go cups filled with cottage cheese for in between meals and before bed. Turkey and Swiss sandwiches always come back with me also, con hot sauce.

and some OJ to wash down the creatine

I can do a lot of rice. I personally find it to be my carb of choice (easy to cook, pack, and consume a lot of without feeling like I need to sit on a toilet all day). And like I said before, I love chicken. For me personally, there’s just something about the specific combination of chicken and rice that bores me to tears.

Contrary to popular belief, I think that the only way to get big AND strong is to eat BIG.

Who are these people with the “popular opinion”??

Tbh I’d say anyone with any experience under the bar knows this to be true!
