Raye Hollit in “Skin Deep” with John Ritter. Big and buff (and a little naked). No pictures of her in the movie, but there are lots of pics of on the net of her in contest shape. She has her own female strength contest as well.

I dont know if you could consider her an actress, but Lucia Rijker is a legit bad ass. [/quote]
More Million Dollar Baby - Lucia Rijker on the left

Lucia Rijker, Rollerball
Rachel McClish in one of the Iron Eagle movies?
Jessical Biel in Blade (already mentioned?)
Halle Berry in Catwoman or Jinx in 007.
I think overall it’s hard to find someone beautiful and buff or at least hard for them to stay buff, movie after movie because then they’ll be type cast, whatever…

The photos I posted were of actresses mentioned by previous posters. I agree that several don’t look all that buff. They may play strong, badass characters, but …

Did they ever have a kid. Talk about a genetic advantage…deep gene pool from both parents.

dont you just hate that? When guys play badass/action roles, like Terminator, they get a guy like Arnold. Then they dress all these untough bodied, archy eyebrowed women in tough clothes and they are suppose to become tough by the clothes?
Come on. Thats ridiculous. Thats like putting a sedentary obese guy in fitness clothes and saying “all right. you can be an Olympian now.”
Thats why I respect Jessica Biel so much. Bc, unlike Hilary Swank, after she plays her badass roles and shes on the red carpet, she doesnt look like shes fallen to eating disorders again.
Shes still beautiful.
I can’t believe no one’s mentioned Carmen Brady, the she-thing from Napoleon Dynamite.

That kid would be a mulatto storm of unstoppable proportions.

Chyna from WWE.
(use caution when doing a Google image search for her;)

Chyna again…

Chyna 3

I think i just… threw up in my mouth a little bit…
…altough she wasn’t buff, she was definitly strong, and i don’t expect most of you to know what i’m talking about when i say, from BBC’s Blakes7- SERVALAN, the Supreme Commander who takes over the Presidency of the Terran Federation. Ambitious and ruthless, she loves power and, naturally, misuses it. She is prepared to take any steps necessary to get her own way. After being deposed, she reemerges as “Commissioner Sleer” of the Security Forces to start a climb back to power.
…as a kid i feared her, but was also strangely attracted to her…

SBB, I am also a huge Rijker fan. Shadowboxer was an awesome documentary and if you ask me, THAT is a functional, beautiful body!
Not technically a “badass” but one of my all-time favourite movies and characters: Monica Wright (Sanaa Lathan) in Love and Basketball.
Gorgeous!!
(and Omar Epps isn’t too hard on the eyes, either)

yep Xena for me too
No wonder our society associates femaleness with weakness. If the vast majority of female characters are physically and mentally weak, we enculturate our girls to be physically and mentally weak.
If this were a post about strong male characters 3/4 of these responses would get flamed for posting pansies. We (T-Nation) don’t accept “thin but fit” men as symbols of strength so we shouldn’t accept it for women either.
Strength is not just a characteristic of men, it is a characteristic of all people who choose it. The only way to create a strong society is to promote strength in everyone, not just those with cocks.
