My job had a bbq for employees today, and they had Turkey Burgers! Yummmmy change & Most appreciated. RAWWWR. I didn’t have a scale, though. So I ate two. LOL No buns. Stole the big green lettuce off the cheese tray, and a bunch of tomatoes.

So ! Hopefully going well. Lifted today, and I find myself pretty hungry @ the mo. I have an idea in my head that lift days should probably have more calories.

The guy who gave me this food plan seems disappointed that I didn’t take him up on the FWB offers he makes. So now he doesn’t wanna talk to me! (Imagine that.) LOL.

What a day! ;o) [/quote]

That sounds pretty good! Especially, if it’s free!

Do you feel strong and have enough energy for your workouts?

Oh, hell… Food plan = Sex, now? He sounds like a nice guy  What now?

The BBQ was v nice. We have some tall pine trees, and plenty of picnic benches. I have enough energy, but had a friend in ICU the last couple of weeks. He passed away last week. He was a neat guy. For right now, my energy is like… pffft. Zapped. I want to indulge in comfort food. But damn near 4 weeks at this point, so I’m being good. Have had 3 cheat meals (instead of 3 cheat days). I need to measure this week & see if there’s a change. Scale says I’m 165. I see the nutrition folks on Friday, so they’ll do the BMI with hand-held gizmo.

Anybody out there using a BodyBugg? Is it worth it? I wish they leased those things. I’d pay $ 25 to use it for a month. But I don’t need the bugger forever, ya know?

Yeah, the dude is a nice fella. ;o/ LOL I did all the graphics for his fitness business, so for now I am waiting to give him the final works - - he’s paying me in protein powder. ;o) He can wait to get his stuff, until I get my 8 lb tub of love!

Hey cutie!
BBQ sounds so YUMMY, good on ya for having 2 turkey burgers minus the buns. I would have picked out a 4-course meal
And sorry to hear about your friend :frowning:

Sounds like all is well so I know we’ll hear good things on Friday.
And definetely get that 8lb of powder

Oh no… I’m sorry to hear that, Renee. I am proud of you for hold keeping yourself together, as usual.

Huge hugs

I lost 6 lbs since my last weigh-in at the hospital. Their scale is pretty different than my home scale. I weighed 165.5 on home scale nekkid when I woke up. I weighed 165.4 on their scale 3.5 hours later, after eating breakfast, putting on clothes, and drinking water.

They congratulated me on the weight loss, but they don’t like the food plan. They say that much protein will kill my kidneys.

A quote, “I was actually adding up the grams of protein in your current meal plan, just the chicken and whey protein is about ~133g protein, w/what is in the bread and small trace amounts in the other items at high end ~145g protein. I calculate your lean mass at 49kg which be 74-98g(1.5-2.0g/kg LBM) protein to maintain and build lean muscle. Keep in mind the more protein a person consumes the more free water they need to drink to help filter. I would recommend cutting back 1 scoop of Whey and redistribute these calories to maybe fruit/cottage cheese/yogurtâ?¦ Keep in mind when you start increasing carb containing foods and less protein you will retain some additional fluid for digestion which can cause a slight weight gain but not actual fat gain.”

A month ago in their office: 171.7 lbs, BMI 28.9, Body fat 35.1% Now is 165.4 lbs, BMI 27,8% Body fat 33.7%

Got some new protein powder today, from Costco. Gotta get the good stuff from my “friend,” who I did the art work for.

Thanks for the props, Nikki ! xoxo !! I’m not a big fan of buns. I like my buns better. Hee hee… just kidding. I like the bread that I buy, is what I mean to say.

Hungry - Hugs back! Life is a bit wacky sometimes, but we all just keep on keepin’ on. ;o) My neice-in-law just posted to her facebook page that she is 297 lbs, and “really need to get started on working on this.” Her wedding is next summer. Post after that was about making spaghetti & choc chip cookies. While I most definitely envy her cookies, she is welcome to try my bbq chicken & veggies.

Big grins! Whatcha think of the “Stop Eating Too Much Protein” advice from the nutritionist? ;o)

Life IS wacky these days. I know:)

The nutitionist is semi correct. But, your protein consumption is actually on the low side if you’re working out 4-5 days a week, imo.

Hey, where you at?

Lol… I work out 7 days a week. Same as always. I’m here! I didn’t go anywhere. From what I read on Dr. Berardi & some others, they sound like I should be at 1 gram protein per lb of body weight. Current weight is 163. Definitely slimmer. I’m on week 7 of chicken & veggies. I had to stop eating them damn sweet potatoes. uggghhh! I like 'em. I just don’t like 'em enough to eat them 3 times a day for 7 weeks. ;o) Trying other carbs in their place.

How’s the honeymoon, you rascals?!??!! LOL ! Thanks for the wolf pic!! NICE !

Hey renee darling.
Stop leaving us for so long

Glad to hear that you’re making progress though.
I would love sweet potatoes 3x a week.
Sweet potato fries, sweet potato hash, sweet potato pie… so many options

Lol… actually, it was 3 times a day for 7 weeks. They get slimy if you cook them ahead & leave them a couple days. Ewwwwuh!

I love sweet potato fries.

I bought some new clothes yesterday - actual full price girly stuff. ;o) Went to Vic Secret & got some full-fledged uplift! Got a suit jacket that’s cut in kind of an open chest & open flair below a single button @ the waist. So it kind of flares out & the shirt underneath gets to look bosomy and also tiny-waisted. V Cool! I’m awful at these clothes things. Got a booty from squats, and Victoria Secret gives me a chest. yee haw!

Question for the crew… are “skinny jeans” going to fit 15 1/2" calves, and a sprinter’s ass?

Thanks!

Go with jeans with lycra in them to give you stretch.

edit: yeah! for all the frilly girly cloths. totally with you and the push up that you can remove when you need those bewbs out of the way. (there are moments).

yay for new cloths!!

only one way to find out about the skinny jeans. If you get em you have to post a pic!

There are definitely times when I want the bra outta the way! Rawwr ! Thanks for the jeans info. Is there any particular brand that you like? Just curious.
