I’ve said it before; Frank Shamrock had it right. UFC stands for “U Fight Cheap”. Granted 3 or 4 of the big names get paid more than the rest, but big deal. And with every bit of competition removed I don’t see any hike in pay coming in the near future for most of the fighters.

Yeah, I know he is universally hated, why I don’t know. He’s no more obnoxious than many of the other fighters. Basically, I’m at the point where I’d like to see mma action and not EVER listen to the crap that precedes it.

I would like to agree, but I find myself actually disliking certain fighters. I am likely part of the problem. Maybe I should give in and just start covering myself in Affliction and Tapout gear. I am pretty sure the more logos I have on the greater my gravitas with regards to all things badass, right?

No, I wouldn’t wear that crap if they paid me. All I’m saying is that many of these guys are not what I would call smart people. They speak when they shouldn’t, they say the wrong things their T level to IQ ratio is off the charts. So, who cares what they say? I just want to see them fight. I respect their skills, not their ability to speak on cue and say the right things.
I find that most of the battles on this forum about who is better are not based on careful observance of the skill of said fighter. It’s mostly based on emotion. That makes the typical fan no better than the typical fighter when it comes to analyzing who might win. I could give you some great examples, but you’ve been around here long enough to know exactly what I mean.
