Strict Overhead Press Your Bodyweight for 10 reps challenge

Since I changed my form I’m frustrated. Today was 140 for 6 sets of 6 (straight bar I can get 135 for 10 with the swiss bar). I’m a long way away but I’m in this till the end. 185 for s strict set of 10, period.

I pressed my luck, literally, and did a second OHP session last night/early this morning. 185 for 8 sets of 3. I feel better now.

Haha, I’m agreeing with the “I’m a SHW and I pressed 1/3 my BW challenge”.
Impressive guys, OH Press is the most bad ass lift imo

5 sets of 2 with 200lbs. I’ve come a long way but I think it’s now going to get hard. I got 5-10 lbs and 8 reps to go.

bumping this thread. overhead does not get enough lovins! I want to see more people talking about overhead than benching! bodyweight for almost 10.

Give me 6 months and I hope to be at this level. Middle of last year, my other passion led to a separated shoulder (should have had rotator cuff surgury but no insurance at the time) and it wasn’t until November that I was able to perform full shoulder dislocates without pain. I’m at 145 lbs for 8 reps at 200 lbs bw. I WILL MEET THIS CHALLENGE, cuz, you just gotta have goals.
