Strength/Weight Ratio?

What are people’s approach for this? This is something important in lifting classes and in things involving dynamic movements like dance, gymnastics, MA, etc.

Besides training heavy, rather than skimping out on protein or whatever, would it just mean that such a person would be lower cal for both body fat as well as slight muscle catabolization, and have to monitor more strictly what the effects of that are on his strength levels?

I’m guessing it would be a different kind of training regime too.
