Strength Too Weight Exercises

I know many like to bulk up, but I rather try some gymnastic workouts to have lean strength, light and strong is my goal, since I will be getting into my wrestling and gymnastics this year. I weight 150-160, my weight changes a lot.

I have parallelets and do some push ups, tuck planches, l-sits.

I also have a pull up bar that I like to work on alot, chin ups, pullups, l-sit pull ups.

I’m not really looking for bulking exercises, I’m trying to get ready for gymnastics.

Ideas are welcomed, workout plans, different variations of workouts, types of exercises.

You name it I want to know and learn about it.

Remember my goal is to stay within 150-160lbs…

If you’re going to train gymnastics, you should probably train gymnastics. Look up the work outs of what actual gymnasts are doing, maybe get a coach.

Keep in mind though, strength and size go hand in hand. A bigger muscle is a stronger muscle, and vice versa, unless you’re some kind of genetic freak with a super powerful CNS.

Practice on rings, work on holding yourself in positions where you have bad leverage. Practice gymnastics to get better at gymnastics.

gymnastics is about supporting your body weight. you will get efficient in it but i doubt you’ll get as strong as you could be.

Lean strength? You need to learn how the training process works. There is no such thing as a “bulking exercise”. Start reading the how’s and why’s of training, there’s tons of information out there.

Find out how wrestlers and gymnasts train and diet and condition and learn from it. Finding a good coach is best, or you can do it the way lots of people do. Try, experiment, observe, make the neccessary changes, repeat. This doesn’t work if you don’t understand basics of training though.
