Yes, it may have been my naievety (spelling?) but i walked out of his house pissed and slightly upset i guess.

I just wanted to know if i am th oddball here and would like the consenus of things from you guys who i consider my peers and superiors.

I do not drink alcohol
I do not take ‘street drugs’

I am not dissing anyone who does but i guess i just thought that if we were so careful with how we use aas and how we eat and train and look after our cardiovascular health we would not do this? Maybe i have just taken the media lines on such things the same way others do on steroids.

Welcome to the world of high level bodybuilding. I posted, awhile ago, about the last show I did, I had a really good trainer at the time and the show was the USA in which he was also trainig a few other guys in different weight classes and some women. Well, when I arrived at the hotel, the night before the show, my trainer was snorting coke and drinking vodka with some of the competitors. I did not partake, not for fear of the drugs but I had busted my ass for 12 weeks and I was not about to ruin it in one night. In the morning I went to his room to show him what I looked like, to see if I needed any more diuretucs and he was still doing coke. I have to admit that at that time I did do a few lines with him. I figured pre-judjing was only an hour or so away so what harm could it do. After the show everything went f-in nuts. Coke, valium, zanex, GHB, extacy, vicodin, nubain and probably a couple of things I can not remember. If I told you who we were partying with most of you would recognize some of the names right away. Bodybuilding is a fucked up sport and you do not realize how fucked up until you get to the higher levels.

Okay, so seeing as i started this thread or ‘clusterfuck’ (i’ve been wanting to say that for fucking ages) i guess i am somewhat responsible for it.

So i will say;

Thankyou to everyone who made informative posts clarifying the place that drugs have within the world of bodybuilding, and thankyou for your openess and upfront attitude in relaying your experiences and background with them.

However, the discussion took a turn into a place where i had not foreseen it going and turned into a rather opinionated mess. Most opinions i agree with, one in particular i do not.

So, not to put the hat on you ready2learn, in reguards to the pm you sent me, i had not at that point seen the posts that had been made since yesterday evening so was not aware of the situation. I am sincere when i say i respect your opinion and of course you are more than entitled to it, i think you just set about conveying it in the wrong manner. So although i am not really happy with the content of your posts what else can be done??

So maybe this thread should die now before it turns into another internet cross continental war??

I respect almost everyone on these forums, and there are 3 people that i know i can rely on, trust more than anyone and can rest assured to get nothing but unbiased, top notch advice from.

World is one of them, no he does not need me to defend him, but i take offence to you speaking to him like that and i have lost any inclination to be civil to you.

Where as someone else (YOU perhaps?) buying a £10 baggie of home grown from a friend should be burnt at the stake for it is their fault we are over ran with Yardie gangsta’s poppin caps in people’s asses.

Anyway my last PM received simply stated ‘fuck you’ so I guess we wont be going out to dinner this weekend

Personally, I think my experiences with recreational drugs in my younger years made it much easier for me to see that the media representation of AAS and other PEDs is severely flawed, biased and incomplete.

It was clear to me that although certain risks were involved in rec. drug use, they were nothing like the picture the media painted of them, which was little more than sensationalized fear-mongering propaganda.

To me it was easy to see that the media portrays everything inaccurately, and that one has to look far beyond it for real insight into any topic.

As far as street drugs having a place in the process of physique enhancement, I have a hard time seeing where they would be the optimal approach. Juggling the effects of AAS, peptides, stimulants, fat burners, etc. seems like enough to worry about without throwing things like cocaine into the mix.

I limit my ‘partying’ to a glass or two of red wine these days. 8-balls, ecstacy and water-bongs are well behind me.

Actually, since I know of his GH dealer (no it’s not me personally), I can state with authority that lollipops are not on his grocery list and he definitely does contribute to the criminal infrastructure.

But that’s often the way. Anyone selling anything they shouldn’t (be it rip off DVDs to untaxed booze, to AAS/GH to street drugs), is in some way contributing to the criminal infrastructure. I’m surprised that a bright guy like him can’t see that.
