Amphetamines - Opinions/Experiences

The post about street drug use reminded me of some thing I wanted to bring up. What are your opinions and experiences with amphetamines and like drugs for fat loss.

I’m talking about drugs like amph, dex amph, adderall, phentermine, ritalin, etc. Does anyone use them, is there benefit over the usual bb fat burners? Also has anyone used terbutaline. I took it to see how it felt and it felt pretty strong compared to albuterol. Like short acting clen or more.

PLEASE DON’T DEGENERATE INTO THE LEGALITY OR SOCIAL RAMIFICATIONS OF ILLICIT DRUG USE. SOME(ONE MAJOR IDIOT) PEOPLE RUINED TESTANABOL’S THREAD. YOU CAN TALK PHYSIOLOGY, LIKE ADDICTION, BUT KEEP THE POLITICS IN THE POLITICS FORUM.

I never used it to specifically spur fat loss, but man I used adderall almost every day my first semester of college when I lifted. Made me a fucking animal. I was lifting much heavier, more volume, less rest, etc.

It was great and so were the ensuing gains from working that much harder.

Amphetamines can reduce your estrogen clearance rates, raising E and lowering T. [P450 liver enzyme pathways]

You can alter your brain’s dopamine status.

Use needs to be for finite amounts of time.

Great thread Pretz!

I have used them off and on, mainly off nowadays. Occasionally I’ll drop just one single HOT-ROX Extreme, and that’s tolerated pretty well at that dose. I don’t rely on them though as I did in the past during different periods of training, to “get it up” as far as motivation and energy in general. And I find this to be quite pleasing to my CNS and BP as a result, lol.

Great points by KSman, and BBB, I definitely feel the dopamine alteration when using them regularly for more than a couple to a few weeks straight, and frankly, I don’t like the way that feels.

The days of albuterol, clen, ephedrine, use are over for me, and I just use AAS and a nice clean solid diet, to get me where I want to be at these days, and feel all the more better for it.

Amphetamine salts are extensively catabolic to muscle tissue. They can also (by way of cortisol release) blunt your insulin sensitivity.

I guess that includes adderral right?

Edit:
It looks like long term use of adderral can cause depression, loss of appetite and libido… But i haven’t found facts stating it’s catabolic.

So are you guys stating that stuff like energy drinks are catabolic as well or just the amphetamines?

I believe overuse of any stimulant will increase cortisol level which undermines gains. Once in a while for an extra boost should not be a problem. Use moderation for best results.

have you ever seen someone addicted to meth?
how skinny and bony they are?
same thing with adderall its the same type of drug.
not the same drug but the same type.

I used 20mg Adderall per day for about half a year. I didn’t notice much of difference in terms of muscle or fat loss/gain.

There’s not much else better for motivation, concentration, and energy than amphetamines.

With proper dosing and for use with certain conditions, it’s a great drug.

I was using it for fatigue/depression. I found it provoked a little too much anxiety for my liking however. Dexedrine probably would have been a better choice.

There’s a big difference between smoking crystal meth and taking extended release Adderal orally in normal dosages.

Other than it’s primary use for ADD/ADHD, Adderal is prescribed for treatment resistant depression and used as an antidote for sexual side effects of SSRI antidepressants.

if used in the correct dose and for the correct reasons then yes I agree with you.

However ,I have seen someone that abused adderall and with all due respect,it was no different than smoking bowls of glass.

and yes, I have intimate knowledge in both. its a slippery slope of whats responsible use and abuse and adderall can be abused very easily.

Did you guys who used adderall feel addicted, have trouble coming off? I use ephedrine,ps,albuterol for energy and motivation but I am afraid of getting addicted to amphetamine use for the same purpose. I don’t know any amphetamine users but tons of methamphetamine users and almost all ruined their lives for awhile, and were addicted but some also lost a lot of fat and got in good shape without trying. Of course their skin got in worse shape though.

I never felt addicted to adderall or ritalin however they both made me very weak in the gym and forget about having a love life within 12 hours of taking it (or at least in my case).

I just started taking Adderall…please elabroate I haven’t found these statements anywhere else.

I was addicted to meth at 15. I have tryed tons of ampheds. I can say that during that time I was at a really low bf and skinny as a rail. My life was shit absolutely shit. I ended up in rehab in the southern US.

I can say I will never do it again for as long as I live. I even stay far away from energy drinks or caffeine.

If you are considering taking ampheds or meth. Please think twice. Cause its never that bad when your taking it. It is when you look back you say wtf was I doing?
