Stop the Nonsense!!

Die, what the fuck are you talking about?

I asked about his education to get a better understanding of where he’s coming from, NOT to ridicule him about it. Hell, I even said that in the original question.

And he’s hardly “held his own”. He’s spouted general bullshit the entire time and used other people’s opinions as references for this BS. Had he been arguing any valid points or ANYTHING that he could back up with some sort of valid reference, things might be different. He hasn’t, and he won’t because almost everything he’s saying is unsubstantiated heresay.

I see people in the psych ward sticking to their guns about how they have computer chips implanted in their asses by aliens, and they remain surprisingly calm the entire time. It doesn’t make them any less crazy.

Neil, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Take care,
DocT

Computer chips in their asses by aliens?? So THAT’S my problem!!

NeilG,

Sorry, but you didn’t answer my question. You just gave a lot of links that I’m not going to look up.By the way, are you capable of an original thought?

Die Nadel,

If spouting BS makes you smart, then this guy is going to be the next Einstein. Sorry, but I don’t buy his BS. And if you read carefully, he did attack all but one of us.

Earlier you said that you have been eating raw eggs for months. Now its for years. Which is it? Ill take a page out of Dave Tates book here. What you have done? What are your lifts? Where are your pics? Nothing you have said makes any sense. Here is a direct quote from John Berardi.
It is gernerally accecpted that cooking and subsequent denaturing of these foods (meat, eggs, fish) is a good thing. When these meats are cooked, they become more folded and more solid due the the formation of extra bonds between the amino acids that make up the proteins in the food. Once in the GI tract, however, digestion takes over and ultimately all that protein is broken down (denatured again) to its amino acid components for absorption into the blood stream.
So if cooking is such a bad thing as you say then why do so many people think its a good idea and you seem to be the only person in favor of eating raw meat. Think about that. You are in favor of eating raw meat. Why even take the chance of getting anything? Are you 100% sure that every egg you eat in the future is going to be salmonella free? And regardless of that John Berardi has said that eggs need to be cooked inorder to get the full potential benefits of eating eggs.
I think you are just a stupid kid who thinks he knows everything but actually know nothing. Have you even started college yet or are you still in high school? You will learn soon enough that the more you learn the more you actually figure out that you know nothing.

Die Nadel i assume you are referring to me. The one guru Im sure you are talking about has read everything he has ever gotten his hands on and has talked to every prominent strength coach in the last 30 years. Hes also got 30 years of experience under the bar and in training hundreds if not thousands of other athletes. Very successful athletes at that. NeilG is either still in high school or hasnt started college. He has no idea what he is talking about. Being calm when you are argueing a point has nothing to do with nothing.
I guess now we are commending nut cases just because they stick to their guns on topics. That is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. Now if this guy had said, “I have eaten raw meat and eggs and I weigh 320 lbs at 8% bodyfat and squat 1200 lbs”, then maybe what he had to say would hold water. But more than likely he is some kid whos read muscle and fitness a few times and thinks he knows everything. I cant believe you brought Louie Simmons up in this. His background and results are second to none. What has NeilG ever done? Been the strongest guy in weight training class?

DocT, I couldn’t agree with your comments more. You are saying what we are all thinking.

Just for fun, I looked up some of Neil’s so called “references” and what I found was no surprise. Unsubstantiated bs. Neil, anyone can write an article. It doesn’t go through a review board to judge it’s validity or reliability. Try posting some concrete studies next time. From journal studies and research that actually took place over more than a day or two. You know…JAMA, MSSE, ADA…err, wait, of course you don’t know that.

DocT,

Actually, I really wasnt insinuating that you were one of those people. I just started reading the thread today, and because of it’s length, I caught up by only reading the defendants posts along with posts from a few other contributors I never miss.

But I must admit, I look forward to going back to the thread and reading your posts to know why you felt targeted.

I just saw mr. neil’s pics. He has a molester mustache. ahhahahahah. you need a hair cut bud. let me know when you start shaving.

I have some missing time I can’t account for and I did have a kind of sore spot that later itched on my ass afterward. What do those chips do when they turn them on?

NeilG,

I recently browsed through various old threads that you have participated on and I have one question for you: are you not making a distinction between common polyunsaturated fatty acids (e.g. vegetable oil, corn oil, soybean oil, etc.) and polyunsaturates such as fish oil, flax oil, and other sources of n-3 fatty acids such as walnuts? My inquiry stems from a post of yours on the fish oil thread. On that thread you present various propositions which are meant to detail how common polyunsaturates such as vegetable oils are responsible for some of the negative consequences of the modern “western” diet.

Now, I think nearly anyone who has read any information on lipid consumption and its effects from this site over the past two years would agree with you on the subject of the common polyunsaturates; but it seems to me that you are not distinguishing between the various types of polyunsaturates and hence, the reason for your apparently ludicrous comments. Lastly, I suggest that you read Dr.Lonnie Lowery’s two part series “Something’s Fishy”. I feel this series is one of the best T-Mag has published with regards to this specific topic, and even in general. Reading or reviewing (if you have already read it) the article may force you to draw some distinctions between different polyunsaturates.

-Mike S.

I saw the pics too. They’re not helping your argument.

Goldberg - I just saw them too, and damn that is funny. Oh, and I call bullshit on his lifts. If he’s been lifting for only 6 months, there’s no way he’s doing all that. If he can dl 345 and get limited by grip, then he can’t stiff legged dl 315 easily. Either something is horribly wrong with his form, or he’s just full of shit. I guess the latter.

While I wouldnt particularly agree with most of what NeilG said, except for his general statement concerning the, for lack of better word, “problem” with diets that lack variety, I still respect his persistance and willingness to present his point of view despite the resistance he’s faced.

Not everyone is 100% right all the time, nor are they 100% wrong all the time. Calling him a moron and telling him to leave the forum is not something I would have expected from some.

If you have a different opinion than the guy, speak your mind (we all benefit from it) and simply agree to disagree. You might be in agreement on another topic.

Regardless, having posters with different points of view ensure that there’s no loss of critical thinking, which is what often happens in groups with homogenous views.

Neil will no doubt change his point of view on this subject as with many others in time, like we all have and will again.

Louie Simmons is second to none.

People! Let’s stay focused here.

Neil Diamond is the one we’re after…not me!

Let’s not forget that he’s only been training for 2/3rds of a year!

Hey Neil, dont let the door hit your ass on your way out!

LMFAO

Wait, on his pic posting, he says he’s been training for 6 months, but 2/3 of a year is 8 months. Hmmmm, do I see a pattern?

I have no problem with him staying. I would rather he not leave. But he came out of nowhere spouting rhetoric as if it were gospel and was dead wrong. Not just wrong but dead wrong. food poisoning is not something to be taken lightly. Hes begging for it. And trying to convince others that eating raw meat and eggs is the way to go is very dangerous. I know first hand. Its not something i would wish on anybody except the select few who really piss me off.

Can someone please post the link for the pictures. I have searched forever and I cant find them.

He also said that “one out of three” people was “most” people.

Where I come from, 33% doesn’t count as “most”. Maybe it’s the new math.

(I stopped reading right there.)
