yeah… it’s definitely a double edged sword. one of the things i always looked forward to was that i knew once i got to a meet that things like a good deadlifting bar, a monolift and a really good bench would give me a few more pounds on the bar. now i have all of those things.
deadlift’n- stayed up late watching my Cowboys shit the bed at the very end. I should have learned my lesson. As a result, i was tired all damn day. Wasn’t really looking forward to pull’n heavy but i threw a tampon in and went to work.
bench’n- two of my training partners couldn’t make it today so i thought it would be a quick one but when i showed up, three other guys that train at different times were there waiting to bench and then a new guy showed up to check out the facility and he ended up benching with us…so it went from three guys to seven. that’s fine though. gave me plenty of time to rest between sets.
skwatt’n in the new monolift. it was so awesome to finally squat in our very own monolift. we had 8 people squatting this morning ranging from over 6ft tall down to 5ft 4inches. the mono is so damn easy to adjust the height without taking the weight off.
we used the buffalo bar and chains for this cycle. my lower back is still fried from the deadlift session so i kept it light today.

Love the vids! Awe-inspiring weights you’re moving. (A 500# reverse-grip bench!!! I didn’t know humans could DO that.) But when I went to show some of them to my son today, I couldn’t get them to run–they’re now ‘private.’ (I could see this last one, though.) Is it a TN glitch, or was it something I said?

been having some issues on youtube. thanks for the comments though and thanks for stopp’n in.
i deadlifted a few days ago but tweaked my back pretty bad. it’s the same place i had a herniated disc a couple years ago. we were pulling against chains and one side was way off. i immidiately felt a sharp pain. i attempted another set but had to shut it down. today i slathered on some liniment and was very careful. hits some PR’s which is suprising. squats on wendsday. don’t really know what i’ll be doing that day.
