Still a Fat Man in a Little Coat
Joweeee wrote:
My shower goes from really hot to ice cold pretty easily. That would probably be much easier than doing an ice bath… how do you do the contrast showers? The time under each I mean?
I wish I could say something intelligent like 30 seconds hot, 30 seconds cold, but in reality it is as long as I can tolerate one extremity before I switch to the other. I try to do 5 ‘sets’ of each.

Word. I would just estimate anyway. I’m not going out and buying a waterproof stopwatch or anything, lol.

Nice work Joweeee

I am a big fan/user of both contrast showers, and hot/ice baths

epsom salt baths as hot as I can take
and other days I buy 2 or 3 bags of ice and dump them in a tub of cold water.

shriveling cold

Do you guys think the Titan Ram will have good carry over to your raw benches? I may have to buy one if it does.

i hope so. i guess only time will tell though. i figure if i can get my bench up over 600 with the ram, my raw bench could only go up.

yeah… it’s a cheap PR. my head wasn’t into training. i went in to help Bill setup the reverse bands. i feel that if i had my head in the set i would have been good for maybe 4. i’m going to do one more cycle of 5/3/1 and then give it 100%.

see you monday for more whore’n with the titan. i’m off this coming week for spring break.

565x dumped it… the strap on one of my elbows slipped as i was lowering the weight and it through me out of my groove. the bar came back towards my face and i quickly lowered it back to my chest. 565 sitting on your chest is uncomfortable to say the least. i decided to dump it to one side to get out from under it. my ribs are gonna be sore but i’ll live. we tried setting up in the cage for these last week but we couldn’t figure out a good way to liftoff. i think i’ll switch gears and work on pausing heav(ier) and then exploding off the chest until i figure this damn thing out.

close grip bench, legs up against chains, paused

225+ 100lbs of chain x 6 x 3

that’s it.

on a brighter note, it was one hell of a nice ride home on the harley.

How do you get your legs up against the chains? Sounds, well, just not right and I don’t want to visualize it.

Do you get Power magazine? there are some great articles about breaking bench shirts…

you know you are visualizing it…you whore.

no… don’t get it. but this isn’t a bench shirt. tell me it’s not. it’s just an aid to get my raw bench up

it’s not a bench shirt…can’t be.

Felt better today. Man The that lockout was tough. I’m pretty sure I locked it out, lol. That is the first time I’ve ever started seeing stars BEFORE completing the lift, lol.

I feel like I look pretty small right now… tomorrow is the last day of this diet. I weighed 241 this morning and started at 265 a month ago. Hopefully once I get back to eating some real food, not eating the calories of a small girl and start maintaining my weight… I’ll start to fill back in.

You’re both skinny little 242s now. Wow.

Nice lifting too.
