Enlighten me. How long, how big were the strength physique, stamina gains, is it expensive?
Can you describe this with specific details?
I believe I can make a positive input to your questions. I just need to know precisely what you are asking, so that I don’t answer a question that you are not asking.
Anything you like. Thanks for coming forward
This could get very lengthy.
I will give you what I consider the fundamentals.
The choice of types of steroids is not important for what steroids are intended to accomplish.
You don’t need high doses of steroids.
Each AAS cycle is similar to incremental process improvement. Each cycle builds on the previous cycle. Every cycle you should start a little bigger and a little stronger than the previous cycle.

It took me eleven years of progress before I reached a level of highly diminishing returns. I did make some progress for about 15 more years, especially on specific body parts.
Building a physique that impresses the judges is not cheap. Quantifying that in yesterday’s dollars is to say that if you had enough income to successfully compete, you could buy a new Corvette every three years, if you chose not to spend that money on your physique
Can you keep the muscle acquired with AAS? To a great extent you can, but I lost a lot of delt and traps size. I became less competitive nationally in my late 30’s, so I decided to compete in a couple drug tested shows before I turned 40 where I could compete in Masters Bodybuilding on the national level.
The drug tested shows required that you have taken no AAS for a full year. I did Over-35 division in two shows where I won my class (HW) in both shows but didn’t win the overall.
How strong were you peak, compared to now
At 77 years old I am not nearly as strong as I was before I ever lifted a weight. I have been watching my muscle waste away since I hit 60 years old. I am about as strong as an ordinary 77 year old man is. Both of my shoulders are injured and I cannot lift my left arm over my head.
My best bench press in competition (raw with a pause) was 450lbs at a body weight of 242lbs
I trained doing 2 sets of 10 reps squats with 495lbs. (in my 40’s)
I trained doing 2 sets of 10 reps deadlift with 505lbs (in my 40’s)
Sorry to hear that, note to others I’m not talking shit to this man because he’s matter of fact
He is the realest of real deals. Very kind and generous with a wealth of knowledge that can only be gotten through doing. All around excellent dude.
.
Serious question…do you believe that your history of training helped with your mobility and strength (even with injuries) in your seventies?
Probably so, especially my lower body. Sarcopenia didn’t hit all my skeletal muscles equally, at the same time. My glutes seem to be the last to being affected. I still have the hip flexibility to do FROM one the leg press, and do ultra wide leg presses knees pointed 180 apart from one another. Here I don’t credit my history as much I do the fact that I still do the exercises. But my leg training through my youth has left a 77 year old man with the glutes similar shape as my weight trained youth.
All of the exercises I do now are FROM, so I am training both strength and flexibility when I lift weights.
[My bout with Dermatomyositis at age 48, (for about 7 years) must be considered in my current muscle mass.]
You re amazing. Question- due to your longevity and the fact you despite your steroid use have lived in excess of the average life expectancy,do u sometimes welcome death or are you relatively happy with your current condition and could quite happily live for decades more?
Life is a gift from God. I cherish every moment. I never welcome death, but always welcome God.
Sure, it was nice being extremely well built. I always say, “It is better to be a has been, than a never was.”
