I’ve lifted sporadically for years, but never enough to see any real progress. I’ve been lifting consistently for 3 months (One body part per day - including squats, dead’s, push press, bent rows, rack pulls, bench, and a bunch of isolation stuff) and am seeing a little progress, but not what I would expect. Just stumbled across Starting Strength. My question is, am I still novice enough to reap a significant benefit from it?
If you don’t start it within 10 weeks of your first gym session then your novice gainz are forevz lost. Sorry dude.

Man, even that’s pushing it. You should really get on it in your first six weeks. After that you lose about 10 per cent effectiveness per week.

Serious answer.
Not too late. It’s a simple 5 x 5 linear progression. You can do this anytime, until it doesn’t work anymore for you. You will know when you can’t keep adding weight to the bar. Until that happens, you’re good.
