Start of Experiment: Estradiol Valerate

When are you going to start your trial?

I’m only a few weeks into a new protocol (40 mg T Enanthate EOD, 140 mg/week) and I want to see how that works out first. Maybe next month.

Props to Robroy for guinea pigging here. Takes some balls.

We’re all struggling with libido. Hope he finds something here.

Keep us posted!

There was a small study done a few years ago, in Korea or China I think, can’t remember. Anyway they tested libido with men with e2 lower than 50pg/mL and above 50. The above 50 reported higher libido. Test was measured at above 300ng/dL and below. Not an awesome study, but backs that up.

Edit: nevermind seems that’s the study everyone is referencing here.

Yeah wasn’t at that at TT of like 2000-3000ng?

It definitely could be, I know it was very clearly in supra physiological territory, I can’t remember the exact levels but I will try to find the study when I get a chance. If I remember correctly the E2 climbing wasn’t linear and suddenly hit a wall, it slowly tapered off as the dose went up. Made me think that running 350 a week might be starting to put him in that territory. Just an idea.

I would also like to add im low shbg, which i do believe means i easily get too high androgen:ratio ratio (ie, androgen ā€œdominanceā€), resulting in too low e2 compared to test/dht.

Listen, im no god damn scientist here but it was this very theory, coupled with the estrogen roundtable with broderick chavez and lyle mcdonald where they discussed the old vials of test AND e2 coupled together, which resulted in the men having INSANE libido, that was my tippin point.

So far, it works great, wether the theory per se is factual correct or not.

Are you still going to get blood work?

I have zero issue on 80 to 85 mg of test c as week. My wife has zero complaints and if she does it’s that I function too well at 58. If you think you should be able to function like you are 21 again you are kidding yourself. Lots of health issues when you are older than when you are 21. It’s not everyone on test that struggles and what does highpull say since he prescribes test? There has to be something else going on. When I take too much test my libido goes to hell. My levels at 80 mg/wk have me in the upper range and zero sexual issues. I think I had more issues the first 6 months but then it all improved.

Also adding HCG would likely give a similar benefit since it raises E2 disproportionately, correct?

Careful there, doesn’t always work that way and some people react bad regardless of lab work.

I haven’t tried it in years but I know for me personally it raises E2 a lot. But you’re right, I do remember not feeling well on it in the past despite an initial surge in libido when adding it.

Nah man tried hcg, for some reason it worked for 1 week then nothing

Same here, not all the time, but at times the very first week or 2 down right euphoric. Then goes to shit though.

Literally my exact experience with it in the past. Feel good for a week then terrible.

Yea im gonna take labs too, uuh soon, dunno when

This is true I believe. For both E2 and DHT. They don’t respond linearly. It is close to linear in normal ranges, but once outside of normal, it tapers off. Probably limited by how much aromatase enzyme is available.

I have a buddy that had issues with high E2 on 350 mg/wk of TE, but not at 500 mg/wk and up. Could be in his head too. Possible that he had roughly the same E2 levels at both doses, but higher T levels on the 500, and more androgen balanced him out.

What’s the answer for people who aren’t converting to enough E2, hypothetically. Long term E2 pills aren’t the wisest choice.

No idea, scream, injections? Is e2 pills dangerous or what?
