Stainless Steel Oly Bar from Gtech Fitness

The Bar: Weight Lifting Bars: Home, Schools & Commercial Gyms

Great Bar! I sold my other two bars that were rusting and bent and bought this Stainless Steel Olympic bar from Gtech Fitness.
They have an Ivanko bar for $840, But the GP Industries bar had everything I wanted for less.
It has a tensile strength of 210,000 PSI, 28.5 mm grip, gun metal finish, meets I.P.F Specifications, center knurling, and it was only $499.

The customer service at Gtech is great. I originally placed my order online for a different GP Industries bar. I went to like them on facebook, and saw a post for a NEW GP Super Power Bar with a higher tensile strength. I called them up shortly after and they put a message on my account that I wanted to change bars. 7:30 that night they E-mailed me to tell me know it was taken care of.

I definitely recommend GTech Fitness if you haven’t already bought from them.
Video Review and video of me using doing
Bench Press: 225 x 3, 275 x 1, 315 x 1
Dead Lift: 315 x 3, 405 x 1, 455 x 1
Squat: 225 x 3, 275 x 1, 315 x 1

does anyone have a stainless steel bar form a lot of rust.

What grade of Stainless? From the looks of the weld it seems like a very well made bar.

A word of caution, if your old bars rusted badly it could be the oils in your skin, some people just seem to make things rust, even stainless. I worked in a machine shop with a guy who had to wash his hands frequently to prevent corroding the workpieces.

Not sure about the grade I could contact the manufacture. It does attract a magnet, I talked to an Ivanko rep and they said their bars will too.
So I guess that’s standard with SS oly bars. I use a brass brush to clean the kurnling and I I have a spray bottle with alcohol and wipe it down after each use.
I also bought some stainless steel cleaner. My old bars were rusted when I bought them, I think being in my garage and the humidity didnt help.

I got my Lock-Jaw collars in for my new bar.
