I think this guy is trolling everyone pretty damn hard.
The entire site SCREAMS affiliate marketing. I’m sure while everyone’s getting their panties in a twist he sitting back watching his bank account grow and just tossing in some minor maintenance work to keep the site active and moving up search engines.
So Bill DeSimone and this idiot are actually just elaborate trolls, focusing their entire lives around seminars, books, and workout equipment that defy basic athletics? If so, their commitment is fucking amazing.
lol no need to name drop my friend. You do have a basic understanding of AM and how much money is in a ‘good’ site? Right?
Like I said, I met him and have known people close to him, and as much as you want to ascribe monetary motives to this, I will tell you he is genuine, just geniunely has a screw loose. Im sure he doesnt mind the attention, for sure, but dont doubt that he 200% believes his own bullshit.

What’s that have to do with anything? Yeah, he probably makes money from his site. But no, I don’t believe his entire company and associates (DeSimone, for example. not sure how that’s name dropping) have dedicated themselves to these weird and flat out wrong ideals to make money. That’s an extreme amount of dedication for something so short term.

Your original post came off a little strong to me and seemed like you were just nit picking for an argument. Tends to be the norm on most sites, so I apologise if I miss interpreted anything (early morning and hadn’t had my coffee yet). I honestly didn’t bother with a background check on this guy or his team. Nor will I bother since I have better things to do with my time.
My original post was just highlighting his obvious cash grabbing attempts … most of these sites are blatant attempts of whoring controversy to make quick money. Seemed like this was going that way.

And I’d actually kind of forgotten about that guy until you mentioned him just now…now I’m pissed off all over again.

I’d love to see a fitness debate between that guy and this one. There would be a critial mass of fail which would then cause the world to implode.

LOL
I can’t believe this guys is giving advice about how to live one’s life, when he failed out of college twice and has no credentials and nothing to show for his life thus far.

I couldn’t keep this to myself, especially when he sites Rippletoe in the first paragraph. http://www.thedreamlounge.net/barbell-squat-worst-exercise/. The author basically says squats are useless so I thought I’d let the fine people of tnation and specifically this forum have a read and decide for themselves.
Release the hounds! (granted, most of the comments blast him but just to make sure he completely understands how wrong he is…)
or we could just ignore him… then go and squat
"Of all the raging ?little boy in an adult?s body? Smeagul comments left on my recent barbell squats post, perhaps the dumbest bunch are the ones criticizing my physique, as if my physique had anything to do with my ideas.
Sure, my ideas and actions can, to a degree, direct the size and shape of my body. But my mind had no part in the physical variables, pre-determined for my body, at birth."
This guy is such a pussy that he makes crossfitter look well…i guess just slightly less like pussies
But seriously doesnt he think for a while, that maybe since I look like shit, that what I am doing is not working? Or even if it is working, maybe I should wait until my revelutionary workouts have produced their results with me so people will actually see what I already know
pfff squat is the best exercise “full stop”
how can it be BAD? If you dnt have any problems to begin with and you do perfect form then it is as safe as any other exercise.
I’m sick of Keebler Elves jumping into the crossfit craze becoming overnight experts, yet they bounce around doing jumping pushups, jarring their joints and becoming more gay by the minute. I left my gym from all the dildos doing cleans with 135 lbs. while hogging the only squat rack for a fucking hour…Yeah, I’m sure doing those, after only having learned it yesterday will really be good for your joints.
Then you have this fucking guy who speculates based on his own mis-guided beliefs, telling other ignorant people the same bullshit he was told. Fuck him.
Funny how horrible the squat is for your back, when the sole reason my back has recovered from horrible pain is by squatting CORRECTLY, strengthening my back muscles, hips, hamstrings and calves, allowing me to feel better, get stronger and build bone density that will prove beneficial in my old age.
I’m sorry if I offended people who enjoy cross-fit exercises, but I’m sick of overnight fads that have every dip shit in America that has been doing it for 2 weeks all of a sudden becoming an expert.
And for those of you advising us to ignore this guy, you are right. It’s just every time I even see titles of articles like this, it puts me in a bad mood.
“It might not be obvious, but working out with motorized resistance machines is nothing short of brutal. If you’re a high intensity trainer, it’s significantly more intense than anything you?ve ever experienced with gravity based equipment.”
